The modern struggle for nutritious living.

There was a time when people used to eat simple food, but their bodies were healthy and their minds were calm. Nowadays, that image has changed. Now, whenever we hear the word "healthy food," we see images of expensive superfoods, unknown supplements, diet charts of fitness influencers, and protein shakes. It seems that to maintain good health, we need money, time, and a lot of planning.

In my opinion, we are actually making this matter a little more complicated. Where before, a plate of rice, lentils, and a little vegetable cooked by grandma was the key to health, now we have to search Google to find out how many calories and how much fat a food has. However, there are many local vegetables, fruits, and simple foods around us that are rich in nutrients and affordable — but we avoid them due to our ignorance or aversion.

The problem today is that we think of healthy food as beef, milk, nuts, avocado, green smoothies. Yes, these are healthy, but all foods are harmful to the body if consumed in excess. For example, eating too much spice or fatty foods regularly is never the way to health. Many people start taking various food supplements and powders available in the market, which the body does not need! Earlier, people used to use whatever they ate, and sweated. Now, we do not digest what we eat properly, and we do not have time to exercise.

Another big aspect is that once upon a time, every family had a specific routine. When and how much to eat was taught by the family. But in today's life, that timetable is no longer there. Food has become emotional—happy, sad, leisure, busy—we always want to eat something or the other. Added to this is the "healthy lifestyle" trend of social media, which is difficult for the common man to grasp.

In my opinion, to live a healthy life, eating healthy should not be complicated or expensive. Rather, we need to understand our body, know what we eat well, and eat in the right amount. Healthy food does not mean expensive, but eating simple, natural, and body-friendly foods is the real health.

If you really want to be healthy, then there is no need to make healthy eating complicated or fashionable. Eat simple, local, and nutritious foods that take into account your body, time, and budget, and you will see that staying healthy will become easy and beautiful.

You are so correct. Even I am guilty of this. At the thought of eating a healthy, quality meal, I picture a platter of something fashionable. Rarely do I think about if it contains a balanced diet. A lot of us have got it wrong cause, even with little money, we can make something good.

Your comment really touched my heart. Many of us make the same mistake—we think healthy food means expensive or fashionable food. But the real thing is nutrition and balance. It is possible to prepare healthy food at home at low cost, just a little awareness and desire are enough. Thank you for your beautiful comment, it will undoubtedly inspire many more to change their thinking.
