Hello family, hii beautiful Ladies in the house, happy new week to all of you and I pray that this week brings in good news so cheers 🥂 to living our best 7 days, for this week I would be participating on the contest topic which says1️⃣ If you could get a second chance at something, what would it be? I mean you can't be asking for a second chance while you haven't even gotten a first chance at it before, so am going to be sharing a little story of a first chance ✌️.
All these little moments really matters and sometimes you would just sit down and be thinking had it been I did it better, so when I was younger I attended a boarding school for just two sessions afterwards I pulled out because of some reasons but while I schooled there alot happened, like I experienced many things but for this prompt I would be sharing just one of those experience.
If you have been to a boarding school you will understand why some student see it as a prison and how they patiently wait for holidays to leave those big gates that surrounds them, there was one occasion in school that happened on a Saturday and all the students where meant to dress and leave their hostels to go out for the it, well I had a problem with my uniforms so I couldn't go but fortunate for me there were other girls with one or two issues which warranted them to stay back too so I wasn't the only one staying back, we were locked in one hostel together where we could only peep from the windows to see what was happening.
So hungry and tired as we were I decided to snoop around and see what I could get to eat, the naive me saw somebody's locker that was locked which was having a little provision in it, I took out two golden morn and garri, soaked it like that without sugar or milk and I ended up eating it with everyone there, they happily ate with me not knowing where it came from, yeah the worse happened when they started investigating and it was hard to pin point me.
I received the beating of my life from those SS3 students, I was so ashamed that time and it didn't end there I was asked to come provide more than I took, I brought two rolls of golden morn and other stuffs that I didn't take, it was an experience I never wished to happen again but atleast I learnt the hard way. So if I were asked what I would do with my second chance I would say I will love to revisit a these past decisions that I made ignorantly but not to change them totally making them disappear like they never existed.
I would rather approach them differently with maturity, wisdom and clarity that I have now, I mean the me now would someone for something to eat if ever found stranded like that or the me now would have endured till lunch time is ready before getting what to eat, the me now would have even borrowed from someone if it gets to that extent, it is so amazing now to see how far we have gone and learnt alot making us grow pass some levels and I think if given those chances it would be super amazing to apply that growth to my past decisions and experiences.

We all would love to go back to make some restitution for the past if we were given the chance to. But that's where growth happens. We may feel naive and immature then but as we grow, we learn and then, we try to be better.

Hey! boarding life is just another world entirely. I was never a boarder though, but I had friends then who were, whenever they come home for holidays, they usually look thin, and tired. Their experiences is just crazy. So I can say, I could relate with you in a way.
So sad you had to go through all those beating and embarrassment. That was really not cool.

Ouch! your experience reinforces my dim view of boarding schools. My public high school was bad enough. When I enrolled my sons into a private school out of need I was concerned with the rules of conduct policies, the Christian school I chose didn't have the rigid rules as a Boarding school but had clear, albeit more lenient protocols should any line gets crossed.
