Desde siempre me ha gustado aprender a hacer cosas nuevas y ganarme mi propio dinero. Viene desde muy pequeña, no es algo que surgió de adulta, sino que fue una semilla sembrada con paciencia y dedicación gracias a mi mamá, quien desde temprana edad me enseñó el valor de la responsabilidad, la iniciativa y el esfuerzo personal por alcanzar las cosas que quería en esta vida.

Ella siempre tuvo la vocación de crear con sus manos y debo decir que tiene un talento excepcional para ello, no lo digo porque sea mi madre, sino porque he visto a lo largo de la vida como han celebrado su trabajo y siempre ha tenido aceptación su trabajo, fuera lo que fuera que hiciera. Su ejemplo fue fundamental para mí y además recuerdo con claridad que alrededor de los siete años me comenzó a enseñar a tejer. Además del tejido, aprendí manualidades de todo tipo gracias a ella.

Estando en la universidad, comencé a plantearme seriamente la idea de tener un emprendimiento y soñaba con un proyecto que abarcara todo lo que me gustaba de manualidades, tejido crochet, fan art de series, animes y ese universo creativo. Sin embargo, mi mente divagó durante mucho mucho tiempo. El miedo, la falta de recursos, el dinero, la inseguridad y muchas otras razones hicieron que postergara esa decisión. Durante casi dos años tuve miles de ideas, algunas más locas que otras, pero nunca me atrevía a dar el paso hasta que un chute de energía que nació de mí misma, decidí intentarlo sin más. Sin grandes conocimientos de diseño gráfico, hice un logo, abrí una cuenta en Instagram, un canal de Telegram y un grupo de WhatsApp. Empecé de manera muy sencilla, haciendo stickers con mínimos gastos. Luego, poco a poco, fui ampliando: figuritas de cartón, mini libritos hechos a mano con papel y cartulina, y diferentes tipos de manualidades según la creatividad me fue llevando. También retomé con fuerza el crochet y comencé a hacer amigurumis.

No es un gran negocio, ni mucho menos pues todavía no he llegado a todo lo que me gustaría porque tengo otro trabajo y no puedo dedicarle el tiempo que requiere. Aun así, me satisface profundamente saber que una parte de mí sigue ahí, creando, imaginando y atreviéndose a dar pequeños pasos para cumplir un sueño. Me hace feliz haber dado ese paso que tanto me costó y quien sabe, quizás en algún momento, pueda llevar este emprendimiento un poco más allá y darle más fuerza. Por ahora me conformo con algo pequeño, con algunos clientes y de forma muy modesta, pero me enorgullece decir que es mío, para mí, ya solo eso significa muchísimo.

Her example was fundamental for me, and I also clearly remember that around the age of seven she began to teach me how to knit. In addition to knitting, I learned all kinds of handicrafts thanks to her.

While I was at university, I began to seriously consider the idea of having a small business and dreamed of a project that would encompass everything I liked: handicrafts, crochet, fan art from series and anime, and that whole creative universe. However, my mind wandered for a very long time. Fear, lack of resources, money, insecurity, and many other reasons made me postpone that decision. For almost two years I had thousands of ideas, some crazier than others, but I never dared to take the step until, driven by a burst of energy that came from within myself, I decided to just go for it. Without much knowledge of graphic design, I made a logo, opened an Instagram account, a Telegram channel, and a WhatsApp group. I started in a very simple way, making stickers with minimal expenses. Then, little by little, I expanded: cardboard figures, handmade mini booklets made with paper and cardstock, and different types of crafts as creativity guided me. I also strongly returned to crochet and began making amigurumis.

It is not a big business, not at all, since I still have not reached everything I would like, because I have another job and cannot dedicate the time it requires. Even so, it deeply satisfies me to know that a part of me is still there, creating, imagining, and daring to take small steps to fulfill a dream. It makes me happy to have taken that step that cost me so much, and who knows, maybe at some point I can take this venture a little further and give it more strength. For now, I am content with something small, with a few clients and in a very modest way, but I am proud to say that it is mine, for me, and that alone already means so much.
