Hello everyone, I’m Lorentm, and I’m truly excited to welcome you once again to my art blog. Today I want to share with you a digital artwork inspired by one of the characters from @holozing. For this piece, I decided to focus on the male Light Healer, but with a creative twist: I reimagined him as a Western sheriff, blending the mysticism of a healer with the authority of the Wild West.
Working on this character was an intense and rewarding experience. I wanted to capture his strength and determination while also giving him that aura of mystery that healers naturally carry. The sheriff badge on his chest symbolizes justice, but his sharp gaze tells us he’s seen both light and darkness. That contrast is what fascinated me most about this piece.
The style I chose was anime-inspired, full of dramatic expressions and clean lines. I wanted the sheriff to feel powerful yet human, a character that could fit into both a fantasy world and a dusty Western town at sunset. The result is the fourth piece of my collection dedicated to healers, where I reinterpret them through the aesthetics of the Old West.
I felt both challenged and inspired while bringing him to life. Each detail was a chance to merge storytelling with visual art, and I couldn’t be happier to finally share this piece with the @holozing community.
Hola a todas y todos, soy Lorentm, y me emociona mucho darles la bienvenida una vez más a mi blog de arte. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una obra digital inspirada en uno de los personajes de @holozing. Para esta ilustración decidí trabajar en el sanador de luz masculino, pero con un giro creativo: lo reimaginé como un sheriff del oeste, mezclando el misticismo de un sanador con la autoridad del Lejano Oeste.
Trabajar en este personaje fue una experiencia intensa y gratificante. Quise capturar su fortaleza y determinación, pero también darle esa aura de misterio que los sanadores poseen de manera natural. La estrella de sheriff en su pecho simboliza justicia, pero su mirada penetrante nos dice que ha visto tanto la luz como la oscuridad. Ese contraste fue lo que más me fascinó al crearlo.
El estilo que elegí fue inspirado en el anime, lleno de expresiones dramáticas y líneas limpias. Quise que el sheriff se sintiera poderoso pero humano a la vez, un personaje que podría encajar tanto en un mundo fantástico como en un pueblo polvoriento del oeste al atardecer. El resultado es la cuarta pieza de mi colección dedicada a los sanadores, donde los reinterpreto bajo la estética del Viejo Oeste.
Me sentí desafiada e inspirada mientras lo daba vida. Cada detalle fue una oportunidad para unir narrativa con arte visual, y no puedo estar más feliz de finalmente compartir esta obra con la comunidad de @holozing.
The sheriff has a commanding presence, with long, pale hair that frames his serious face. His eyes are intense, glowing with a determination that reflects his dual role as healer and lawkeeper. A scar across his cheek adds a layer of history, suggesting he has endured countless battles and emerged stronger each time.
His attire reinforces the Western theme: a brown hat casting shadows over his stern expression, a long coat with sharp folds, and a sheriff badge pinned proudly to his chest. His dark vest and tie contrast with his pale complexion, enhancing the dramatic effect of his figure. On the table rests his revolver, a symbol of justice but also of the hard choices he must make.
Behind him, a wanted poster further adds to the storytelling. It depicts a mysterious outlaw, hinting at the dangers he faces and the enemies he must pursue. The wooden interior and warm light from the sunset create the perfect setting, immersing the viewer in the Wild West atmosphere.
El sheriff tiene una presencia imponente, con un largo cabello claro que enmarca su rostro serio. Sus ojos son intensos, brillando con una determinación que refleja su doble rol de sanador y guardián de la ley. Una cicatriz en su mejilla añade una capa de historia, sugiriendo que ha soportado incontables batallas y salido más fuerte de cada una de ellas.
Su atuendo refuerza el tema del oeste: un sombrero marrón que proyecta sombras sobre su expresión severa, un largo abrigo con pliegues marcados y una estrella de sheriff prendida con orgullo en su pecho. Su chaleco oscuro y la corbata contrastan con su tez clara, acentuando el dramatismo de su figura. Sobre la mesa descansa su revólver, símbolo de justicia pero también de las duras decisiones que debe tomar.
Detrás de él, un cartel de “Se busca” añade más narrativa. Muestra a un misterioso forajido, insinuando los peligros que enfrenta y los enemigos que debe perseguir. El interior de madera y la cálida luz del atardecer crean el escenario perfecto, envolviendo al espectador en la atmósfera del Viejo Oeste.
Process / Proceso
I started with a rough sketch, tracing the basic pose and structure of the sheriff. At this stage, the most important thing was capturing the expression and ensuring his posture conveyed authority and intensity.
Once the sketch felt solid, I moved on to the line art. Clean, precise lines helped give shape to the character’s features, from the folds of his coat to the strands of his long hair. The anime style came through strongly here, giving him a sharp and expressive look.
The next step was coloring. I carefully chose earthy tones for his clothing, contrasting with the lighter shades of his hair and the warm skin tones. This palette allowed the sheriff to feel grounded in the Western theme while still carrying that magical aura of a healer.
Shadows came next, adding volume and depth to the drawing. The shadows under his hat and coat were especially important, as they highlighted the seriousness in his expression. Each layer of shading brought the sheriff closer to life.
Afterward, I worked on the highlights. Small touches of light on his hair, badge, and revolver gave a sense of realism and tension. These details made the metallic parts shine and gave the sheriff a more striking presence.
Finally, I created the background. The wooden walls, window light, and the wanted poster tied the entire piece together. The sunset glow gave warmth while the interior kept the mood tense, balancing calm and danger in the scene.
Comencé con un boceto rápido, trazando la pose básica y la estructura del sheriff. En esta etapa, lo más importante fue capturar la expresión y asegurarme de que su postura transmitiera autoridad e intensidad.
Una vez que el boceto estuvo sólido, pasé al delineado. Líneas limpias y precisas ayudaron a dar forma a los rasgos del personaje, desde los pliegues de su abrigo hasta los mechones de su largo cabello. Aquí se marcó con fuerza el estilo anime, dándole un aspecto expresivo y afilado.
El siguiente paso fue el coloreado. Elegí cuidadosamente tonos terrosos para su vestimenta, contrastando con los tonos más claros de su cabello y la calidez de la piel. Esta paleta permitió que el sheriff se sintiera arraigado en el tema del oeste, pero conservando a la vez ese aura mágica de sanador.
Después llegaron las sombras, que añadieron volumen y profundidad al dibujo. Las sombras bajo el sombrero y en el abrigo fueron especialmente importantes, ya que resaltaron la seriedad en su expresión. Cada capa de sombreado acercó más al sheriff a la vida.
Luego trabajé en los brillos. Pequeños toques de luz en su cabello, la estrella y el revólver aportaron realismo y tensión. Estos detalles hicieron brillar las partes metálicas y le dieron al sheriff una presencia más impactante.
Finalmente, creé el fondo. Las paredes de madera, la luz de la ventana y el cartel de “Se busca” unieron toda la pieza. El resplandor del atardecer aportó calidez, mientras que el interior mantuvo un ambiente tenso, equilibrando calma y peligro en la escena.

Creating this sheriff was a journey that combined my love for character design with my fascination for storytelling. I enjoyed reimagining the healer in this Western universe, turning him into a figure of justice and resilience. Each step pushed me to experiment and grow, and I feel proud of the result.

- Capacitive pen (Stylus).
- Ibis Paint X program.
- Brushes: Pencil, Airbrush, Fuzzy, Marker.

Can you share the timelapse of this art @lorentm? Ibis has it for sure since I use it too. This is just a random check so there is nothing to be worried about. This is required for something that is being done in the background. I hope you understand :)
Hello, sorry for the late reply. I've been a bit busy lately and hadn't seen the message. Of course, I'll upload a timelapse for my next project, although I just uploaded one, haha.
I'd like to see this one. From what I know timelapse can be generated in a few minutes if you still have the work in Ibis.
I know it's possible, but let me explain: my tablet is getting old and pretty charged, so Ibis Paint can be a bit slow. What I usually do is save the images once I'm done drawing and then delete everything to prepare for the next project. If you're happy with it, I can export the timelapse directly for future projects.

That’s a really cool idea. For this piece I focused on keeping the traditional western aesthetic, which is why I chose the revolver. It helped me keep the sheriff authentic to the theme.
