Updated! HiveKeyword(s)Fetcher just got better! Feedback welcome!

Hey everyone!

I just released a new version of the Hive Keywords Fetcher Tool. This is a small project I have been working on to make it easier to search for content on the Hive blockchain. It is especially useful for curators or people who are trying to find posts about specific topics.

In this new version, I made a few important changes. One of the biggest updates is that you can now choose a time range for your search. Right now, you can select between 3, 5, 7, or 30 days. There is also an option to search through the past full year. I think this is a good range for most use cases.

I decided not to include an “All Time” search because it is just too heavy on resources. I tested it a few times, but every time the connection broke after a while. It simply takes too much time and memory to search through all Hive posts ever created. So I left that option out for now to keep the tool fast and stable.

You can use it and play around with it here

Another cool feature I added is a better filtering system for the search results. Now, when the results are shown, you can browse through all of them easily. On top of that, there is now a small input box where you can add a second keyword or phrase to filter the results even more. This additional filter works in real time. So as you type, the list updates immediately. I think this makes it much easier to find exactly what you are looking for, even if there are many posts in the results.

New Features

  • Customizable Time Range:
Scan blockchain activity for the last 3, 5, 7, 30 days, or even the last year. (Sorry, All Time just takes to long for hafSQL Query!)
  • Advanced Results Management:
    • Pagination: Easily navigate through large sets of search results.
    • Instant Filtering: Filter loaded results by Title, Author, or Content text in real-time.

Thank you all so much for your support!

It really means a lot to me when I see people using the tools and small projects I build. If you have any questions about the software, or if something is not working the way you expect, feel free to leave a comment. I will try my best to help you as quickly as possible.

Also, if you have ideas or wishes for new features, please do not hesitate to share them. I am always open to feedback. If you feel that something is missing in the Hive ecosystem, some kind of tool or application that could make life easier for users, then let me know in the comments too. Sometimes it only takes a small idea to start something useful for many people.

Many Hive tools have been created by community members who simply wanted to solve a small problem or improve something they were using every day. That is one of the great things about Hive... it is open, it is flexible, and it invites people to build together.

So, I am looking forward to your ideas, your feedback, and your support. Let us build things together that help make Hive better, step by step.

Thanks!
louis

good choice. nobody will most likely ever need to go through all Hive posts ever created anyway.

and it has a dark mode. cool!

tested, works great. found the posts that was looking for.
thank you

That's pretty cool. I started playing around with some vibe "coding" in the Google studio this weekend. I threw some pretty generic things I wanted to do with HIVE at it and I was really impressed by what it gave back to me. It wasn't fully functional, but it was functional enough and quite pretty looking!

Tagging: @starkerz @stayoutoftherz @davideownzall @alexbiojs @solarwarrior since u guys showed interst in the application!

Congratulations !!

Did you know that @stresskiller is also a witness now ?

Very good, I did a try and seems all good, even the later filter!

I imagined a all time search would be too resource consuming, how about add some date pickers? Like in the combo of the days add 'other' and in that case 2 date pickers appear letting you choose the interval (restricted to max 1 year), so for example I can do a search from August 2023 to August 2024
