Mixing the Pieta with the legend of Daphne - the later might be worth exploring some more, since you had made versions of the Pieta several times.
Greek mythology has some great inspirations, thinking of both Fuchs (Anti-Laokoon) and Hausner (Laocoon in der Umlaufbahn) dealing in divergent ways with Laocoön and His Sons. While Fuchs is easy to find, Hausner is not - I actually got the most comprehensive site here: Rudolf Hausner Visionary Art Hall of Fame - but the painting I mentioned is not there either. You find prints of it on line.
Something taken from an epic saga. So fantastically good that it moves you!
