Why is there so much evil in the world today? | The Old Path

Challenges and the difficulties of life are inevitable. A lot of people find themselves in situations that makes them to ask questions like "why me?" A guided tour of the Bible will give us some evaluations on the matter. First, when Satan was thrown out of heaven because of sin, God turned His attention to man. Since then, Satan has been all out to frustrate man by way of orchestrating challenges.

Second, the difficulties of life are products of the choice Adam and Eve made in the Garden of Eden. They disobeyed God by eating the forbidden fruit. A sin might be forgiven but the consequences may remain.

Thirdly, in this life, we are all running different races. Some people pass on at the prime of their lives, others much later on. However, everyone would want to do the marathon in order to live long here on earth. Regardless of what race we are running, God loves us beyond words. Whenever God calls us home, the bliss of His presence would make us refuse to even come back to this earth.

When we complete our assignments here on earth God would call us home. But if one's time is not yet up, nobody can take him. So we should learn to forgive, live a righteous life and keep our prayer and Bible study life intact so that whenever God makes the home call we will be ready.
