The Mysterious Disappearance of Ravenswood Manor XI

As they emerged from the abandoned chapel, they were greeted by the warm sunlight and the sound of birds chirping.

It was a stark contrast to the darkness and terror they had faced inside.

The group walked in silence for a while, processing what they had just been through.

Finally, Lena spoke up. "We did it," she said, a small smile on her face. "We saved the town."

Emily nodded. "But at what cost?" she asked.

Jameson looked at her curiously. "What do you mean?" he asked.

Emily hesitated. "I mean, we don't know what other consequences might come from what we did," she said.

Lena frowned. "What are you talking about?" she asked.

Emily took a deep breath. "I'm talking about the fact that we just defeated an ancient evil," she said. "We don't know what kind of repercussions that might have."

The group fell silent, pondering Emily's words.

As they walked, they noticed that the town seemed quieter than usual.

The streets were empty, and the houses seemed deserted.

A sense of unease began to creep over them.

As they turned a corner, they saw a figure standing in the distance.

It was Mrs. Jenkins, or at least, it was her body.

But something was off.

Her eyes were black as coal, and her skin was deathly pale.

"Welcome, children," she said, her voice low and menacing. "I see you've defeated The Devourer."

The group exchanged nervous glances.

"What's going on?" Emily asked, trying to keep her voice steady.

Mrs. Jenkins smiled, revealing crooked teeth.

"You see, children, The Devourer was never the true enemy," she said. "It was just a vessel, a host for something far more ancient and evil."

Lena's eyes narrowed.

"What are you talking about?" she asked.

Mrs. Jenkins chuckled.

"Why, I'm talking about myself, of course," she said. "You see, I'm not just a simple old woman. I'm a vessel, a host for an ancient deity, one that's been awakened by The Devourer's defeat."

The group's eyes widened in horror.
