yeah its better to distribute the hive. Notice no one needs to burn Bitcoin, theres not enough to go around to need to burn. same with hive, its valuable, and we just need more users, and not burning. burning makes us seem like we are a worthless altcoin with no use case
id ont even think many people realize that this very hive blog is running off a real blockchain, peopel just assume maybe its a regular blog and hive is just some lame points system. make sme think hive has ALWAYS needed more transparency technological transparency, like the equivalent foa clear gameboy case for condensor, some way to show the blockchain code more in the front end etc so you can see under the hood better, (like how dbuzz was showing hases and transactions ina little text update in teh top right hand corner when you made a post)
hive just needs more users, and hive just needs more distribution

We used to have twitter hive tip bots, maybe we do have one working today, im sure it can all be rebuilt, we had tipit mass twitter tips for eos and telos and wax so im sure we can get something oike that for hive, an airdrop system database and way to match twitter accounts to hive accounts maybe a manual system putting a code in your profile, makinga tweet oran oauth button to authorize your twitter account to link to your hive,m then we can do big hive airdrops to X, and also reddit needs a massive hive airdrop, and some sort of i dunno discord bot that works like @banjo did to create hive accounts right from discord, but a nicer bot like tip.cc which has a third party hive wallet inside discord for tipping and MASSIVE airdrops
so we can ALREADY use https://tip.cc to do massive hive and HBD airdrops (and some hive engine tokens like NEOXAG and others) and so, we could just massively airdrop HIVE to the main tip.cc channel, where youd be able to reach ACTIVE users who dont have double accounts, and geta LOT of new peopel to signup to hive to get more airdrops, like after they signup they could get an upvote or another airdrop etc
but the airdrop BOT is already built
all we need is for you to go to the tip.cc discord, dm the bot and deposit some hive,m i used to do hive/hbd airdrops with it ALL the time in my discords, and it really is the best thing for hive.

Not a fan of simply burning; hbd.funder is a way more useful route for such votes, but just for the sake of experiment and a little big of fun, here's my vote and my "traditional" fire related playlist ;-)
I'm temporarily favoring burning over hbd.funder because of the issue of excess HBD build up in the DHF leading to increased inflation. Fixed with the next hard fork.

HBD in the DHF won't count toward the money supply when calculating inflation, similar to how it currently doesn't count toward the debt ratio.

There was a threat of an uncontrolled inflationary spiral where should the price drop significantly enough, the HBD in the DHF would become a larger portion of overall marketcap raising the inflation, which will effectively drop the price further, which will raise inflation etc... leading to massive printing of HIVE and effectively driving hive price to 0. Before the change (aka pre-hard fork, current situation), the only way to stop such spiral would be to make a proposal and burn a large portion of the DHF, which is capped at 1% per day, so it's not like we can quickly react to such an event, and also it would suck to have to burn funds
woah howd you do that countdown? woah is it just colored background text and white font and some script that edits the post and title every minute? Or do you do it just manually? heh pretty damn clever, make me think it was a new feature, but youre just using existing tools. makes me wonder what else hive condensor front end could actually do. i always wanted to make hive more asci art based.
It's a feature peakd had for a long time, I asked the condensor team to add it to condenser as well a few months ago.
i just love seeing text based colors like that that can use existing stuff. i wish we had more ascii art built into stuff or something
What's different now that it shows 'expired xx hrs ago'? Is it just a visual gimmick, ie. that some event expired, but the post/chain/rewards/burn/etc work as usual? Would you mind explaining briefly, or dropping a link to info about, what exactly this 'countdown' does?
I set a countdown for 24 hours. The post is technically still live for 6 days after but after 24 hours you earn less curation rewards when you vote the post.

Does hive even have its memo keys still working? Can i even make aprivate message in a mroe easy way than logging in with a special key i never use/ Shouldnt there be liek a BUTTON that lets keychain just send a private messsage? I asked for that and teh keychain creator got so mad he blocked me on twitter lol. centralized much.
I remember that feature and the memo key, and I was soooo sure that I could bet it's been readily available for years either on hive.blog or on peakd.com
..and good thing I didn't, because it's not there :D Or I'm too blind to find it. My my. Encrypting memos, such a nice feature, hive/steem had the memo key, like, always, so irritating to use.
Why did they block you? Did they have any good reasons to cut the memo encryption so it shouldn't be made easier to use?
You know.. encrypting memos with the 4th key is such an old feature.. I remember it was already old back when it was just STEEM.. ..and if you asked me without pointing out the issue, I'd be absolutely sure there's a nice simple UI for that in peakd (but not on hive.blog)..
..but it seems that it's not! :D after you wrote, I checked, and couldn't find it anywhere, I think I checked every nook and corner of peakd's user ui, and whoooa, nothing like that. I'm utterly surprised!

Greetings I do not understand what you mean by burning Hive in a publication, I am interested to know to collaborate.
You have few options when you post on Hive.
This post is sending all rewards to @null, so the post earns rewards normally, when the post pays out, the blockchain auto sends all the rewards to @null and burns them. This reduces the amount of Hive being created by a small amount.
