I bought this bike from Kogan in January 2023 after a fun experience riding e-bikes on the Gold Coast. It cost me just under $1k AUD. After completing my DIY battery replacement series of videos, I thought about installing a throttle. Throttles on e-bikes are not permitted on public roads where I am, so a lot of bikes sold are kept compliant by sticking to the 250w motor limit, 25km/h max speed and pedal assist only. However, my motor controller did still have a throttle lead! After some research and testing, I figured it out! I hope this helps other Kogan Fortis e-bike users out there that might want to fit one themselves.
