Veiene una carrear que a mi en lo personal me encanta, no tanto por la carrera como tal sino por la clasificaciones, fkn Monaco siempre llueve el dia de carrera pero las clasificaciones son de las mejores de la temporada. Monaco de los circuitos de calle mas emocionantes por ver cómo se desarrolla en esas callecitas apretadas donde un error te manda directo a las barreras y este año viene con una novedad que podría cambiar todo el panorama, la FIA ha implementado la parada obligatoria de dos pits stops que muchos han estado pidiendo desde hace tiempo, lo que podría cambiar completamente a una carrera que normalmente se decide el Sabado en la clasificación, porque que la verdad en Mónaco es casi imposible adelantar a menos que tengas una ventaja de varios segundos por vuelta pero con esta regla nueva podríamos ver estrategias diferentes y quizás hasta sorpresas en el podio. Luego de que en Imola, Max Verstappen logró frenar la racha de victorias de McLaren, la diferencia entre los tres primeros del campeonato, llamese Piastri, Norris y Verstappen, es de apenas 22 puntos lo que hace que cada punto durante la temporada sea crucial para la lucha por el título y no olvidemos que Charles Leclerc ganó aquí el año pasado, así que seguro estará motivado para meter un doblete en su carrera de casa a pesar de que Ferrari no está pasando por su mejor momento.

La batalla por la pole position el dia sabado va a ser épica con Oscar Piastri como favorito según y esto lo digo mas que todo por sus resultados recientes mas no por puro hype aparte que mi prediccion de inicio de temporada se esta cumpliendo a ver como Piastri esta desplasando a Norris, en fin el australiano ha demostrado tener una habilidad especial para sacar vueltas perfectas en clasificación y el McLaren parece tener mejor tracción en las curvas lentas lo que es fundamental en un circuito como Mónaco. Max Verstappen nunca puede ser descartado aunque el Red Bull RB21 ha mostrado un ligero subviraje en las chicanes que podría complicarle las cosas si sale detrás de un McLaren, Lando Norris también está en la pelea aunque ha tenido problemas para igualar a tanto a Piastri como Max en clasificación durante las últimas carreras, lo que podría ser un factor determinante en un circuito donde la posición de salida lo es todo.
Los neumáticos C6, en este caso los más blandos que Pirelli ha traído para esta carrera podrían ser una opción viable para la carrera a diferencia de lo que pasó en Imola donde casi nadie se atrevió a usarlos, las temperaturas más bajas esperadas en Mónaco podrían hacer que estos neumáticos funcionen mejor y se conviertan en una opción estratégica interesante para los equipos que quieran arriesgar, especialmente considerando que ahora tendrán que hacer dos paradas obligatorias.

The battle for pole position on Saturday is going to be epic, with Oscar Piastri as the favorite, according to me, and I say this mainly because of his recent results, not because of pure hype, apart from the fact that my prediction at the start of the season is coming true, with Piastri overtaking Norris. anyway, the Australian has shown he has a special ability to put in perfect laps in qualifying, and the McLaren seems to have better traction in slow corners, which is crucial on a circuit like Monaco. Hay varios equipos que podrían dar la sorpresa este fin de semana, Aston Martin llegó con un paquete de actualizaciones importante a Imola que les permitió meter ambos autos en Q3, y con la presencia de Adrian Newey en el muro de boxes por primera vez esta temporada, podrían tener un impulso adicional, Fernando Alonso siempre ha sido muy bueno en Mónaco y en 2023 estuvo cerca de la pole no seria loco verlo peleando por un buen resultado luego de los upgrades que le han hecho al auto en Imola metiendo ambos Aston Martin en la Q3. Williams también podría ser competitivo con el C6 según lo que vimos en Imola y no sería una total locura pero si es una locura pensar que hace unas temporadas estaban al final con la ambulacia, lo que si es seguro que se tomaran algunos puntos y alejarse aún más de HAAS en el campeonato de constructores y esto es algo que recientemente tambien ha afectado a otros equipos que solian establecerse bien en la mitad del grid como Alpine que es otro equipo que históricamente ha rendido bien en Mónaco, especialmente con Pierre Gasly quien ha tenido buenos resultados en este circuito anteriormente. En Imola no todo salio bien para Mercedes luego que George no pudiese subirse al podium y Kimi no brillo como lo hiso en Miami pero podría sufrir menos con sus problemas de gestión de neumáticos debido a las temperaturas más bajas iwal esto es para todos los equipos, y es raro viniendo de alguien que no es fan de Russell pero podria volver al top 5 después de que su racha se rompiera en Imola con un P7, es una locura pensar que el Grid esta tan peleado no solo en la parte superior de los 5 primeros sino todo los 10 primeros.

Ahora hablemos de Ferrari que llega a Mónaco en un momento complicado, su auto ha perdido el rendimiento en curvas lentas que tenía el año pasado y que fue clave para la victoria de Leclerc, además la frustración de Leclerc está creciendo nivel la ves que lo vimos gritar IM STUPPIDDD!!! por la radio o cuando se estrello en el 2022 en Le Castellet a ese nivel lo estoy viendo ya que no puede aceptar que un Ferrari no llegue a Q3 como pasó en Imola, lo peor es que no esta solo por que en ocaciones se ah visto como Hamilton aun no esta a ese nivel pero que me dicen del “Take a tea break while you are at it”, Ferrari actualmente no esta nada bien y pueden rodar cabezas. Ahora hay pilotos de menos perfile que podrían tener un fin de semana difícil como Yuki Tsunoda viene de un fuerte accidente en Imola y Monaco es un circuito que requiere mucha confianza algo que podría faltarle después de ese incidente y ojala no se contagie de la falta de confiansa que sufrio Checo Perez cuando piloteaba el mismo Red Bull. Otro “rookie” no tan rookie es Franco Colapinto que también podría tener problemas en su primera visita a Mónaco como piloto de F1, especialmente después de los problemas que tuvo en Imola y la polemica en redes sociales que en realidad es absurda pero que es F1 sin silly season que pareciera ya empeso con este drama todo debido a una parodea de la verdad mal gusto y no quisiera detaller en este momento, pero la verdad Colapinto y Tsunoda tienen la espada de Damocles sobre su cabeza ya que se espera muchisimo mas que sus predecesores.

Al final este Gran Premio de Mónaco 2025 promete ser UN TOTAL EXPECTACULO!! de los más interesantes de los últimos años gracias a la regla de las dos paradas obligatorias con serios momentos de tension en los pits, estamos hablando que Ferrari suele defecarse el pit en Monaco ahora lo van a poder hacer dos veces jejeje, un error puede costar muchas posiciones, los equipos tendrán que estar muy atentos a posibles safety cars o banderas rojas que podrían cambiar completamente la carrera y los pilotos tendrán que encontrar el equilibrio perfecto entre empujar al límite para ganar tiempo y no cometer errores que los manden contra las barreras. Personalmente creo que veremos a Oscar Piastri hacer la pole seguido de cerca por Verstappen quien intentará algo diferente con la estrategia aunque Monaco normalmente es mas pilot que estrategia, aqui deverdad que hay tantos pilotos con autos capaces de tomarse la Pole ya que la diferencias son minimas y no descartaría alguna sorpresa como un podio de Sainz si las estrellas se alinean o un Alonso con otros resultado sorprendentes digamos de Gasly con Alpine, sea como sea la clasificacion va a ser la mejor batalla del fin de semana como ha sido lo clasico de esta temporada.
