A Civil engineer joining HIVE

Hello my fellow HIVERS at spend HBD community.
I'm Blessed Felix, a Civil engineering student, but guess what? Originally I wanted studying marine engineering but because of some factors, I had to switch.

One of the factors was the cost of studying that particular course and it would have required going far away from home which would have made life more difficult for me because of the cost of living here in Nigeria. But in getting to the Polytechnic and beginning the course, I actually fell in love with the course to my amazement, though it wasn't easy because I was self sponsored.

I literally had to take up two jobs; Working for as an help for a Pastor and helping out later every evening at a printing press, it was stressful but it was worth it, cos it helped and shaped me during my school days.

I even went for Industrial attachment at a construction company called HENSEK, this really helped me a lot in the practical aspects of my course.

After school I applied for a teaching job at a private school, funny enough I never had any intention of becoming a teacher, my brother actually persuaded me to apply, so I did and got the job, though the pay was not really what I had in mind, I just had to manage especially cos I saw real joy when I started teaching, to tell you the truth children can actually make your day and relieve you from so many worries you are burdened with when alone.

One Faithful day, it was exactly when we dismissed for the day, a parent of one of the pupils at our school came along with her team and addressed the entire staff of our school.

Her introduction speech really struck me, in her words " To every life Problems there are Solutions, you just need to earnestly locate it, we are here with a solution to the lacks and needs you face as a child teacher, it is called HIVE". She really got my attention.

Each of the team mates told us several aspects of HIVE, about HIVE community, interesting enough that we can even buy groceries in some supermarkets around us with our SpendHBD, like wow.

We asked several questions and better answers were given that made me all in.
What make me more excited is that I can actually talk about my profession which I love and earn from it. So this is all for now fams .
