Hive/ spendhbd workshop

Sunday 27th April was slated for our hive seminar/ spendhbd workshop by 3pm.
The seminar was intended to sensitize people on the spendhbd project.
I attended the workshop with my second son who's always asking me about what the hive Blockchain he saw on my phone is all about.

The workshop started a bit late as our leader @ijelady who's always ready for us had to wait for people to turn up for the workshop.
That Sunday was the last Sunday in the month of April and as expected people had different occasions to attend such as meetings, baby dedication etc.

When we eventually commenced the workshop,our leader@ijelady spent time to highlight to us on the benefit of spendhbd. She encouraged us not to waste our daily shopping by just buying without earning any cashback on our shopping. She encouraged us to endeavor to always buy from listed shops on the hive Blockchain.

She also encouraged us to take posting in the hive community as a serious business.
She explained what HIVE is all about: that it's a decentralized blockchain-based platform and cryptocurrency that focuses on social networking and content creation powered by a community-driven ecosystem where users can earn cryptocurrency by posting, commenting, and engaging with others.

I also learnt that SPENDHBD is Hive Backed Dollar (HBD) which is a stablecoin on the Hive Blockchain, designed to maintain a value close $1 USD used to buy goods and services from participating merchants.
Benefits of joining Hive can never be overemphasized. Joining Hive community makes me part of a decentralized and censorship-resistant network where I get rewarded for creating and curating content.
It also gives me opportunity to connect and collaborate with others worldwide.

One of the things I love mostly about hive is that it supports innovation and freedom of expression online, talking about the DIY(Do it yourself).

We had a lot of gift items but as people couldn't turn up very well due to the heavy rainfall on that Sunday, some of the items was reserved for subsequent meetings.
