HiveFest is calling to Malaysia 🇲🇾
Means, chatting, message and blogging from many places and this needs the usage of a local data carrier to be connected
Go and find a good and cheap solution

Hey Hive Family
stay connected with high speed
whenever we travel the world again
Doing my research
There are plenty providers but I was looking for some special deal with no limits.
Airolo
This one I used already a few times and new they are doing a proper job.

Eskimo
As I look for a good deal, I said to myself that some more research might be a smart advice
Than I found Eskimo and their 7 days package

Might be a cool deal if you checkout with an Eskimo

Non Limit sounds fine.
See this offer for 20 bucks. Looks fair for me, so have a deeper look.
Just 13 bucks for 7 days

This no limit comes with a speed limit after using 1GB a day and goes slow in the data speed.
Hmmm, don’t like this!!
Plan B - total amount of data
So, another offer from this cool seller comes with a max amount of data.
Let‘s try this.

This is a bit more pricey but don’t had the cut off in speed.
Whoot - there is a discount

A good reason to download the app from App Store
Means a 10GB pack for 7 days just for 10 bucks. Let’s see if this works.
Check your phone
Be sure to test your device if eSIM is working.

My iPhone gave me an OK so I proceed.
Getting my discount

Yes - saved 50%

Referal Eskimos
Here comes the typical referral business where we both might get something for free as an addon.
See what the cool 😎 Eskimo writes:
Connect instantly and travel without roaming fees, SIM cards or clunky setups.
Join me and download Eskimo App to get your free 500MB data to roam in 80+ countries. Get more free data, up to 300GB from sure-win scratch cards too!

Login with KYC
Like all carriers, they need to know who is the client. As well with Eskimo, where I have to do the E-mail confirmation and as well a passport and face check. I hate it, but this happens as well with most of the sellers you meet at the airport

Done ✅
Now let’s go to the airport to grab the flight.
See you at HiveFest
Have a great day everybody
and let us travel the world again

Enjoy the #BeerSaturday
have 3 pics and a story
around beer - and go!

@Detlev loves HIVE
Personally used Airalo in Split last year and I recommend it. There's also this where you can pay with HBD through v4v.
Whoot - love the HBD version but at the end the price counts for me
This is certainly a very interesting post for those who are visiting Malaysia but don't want to be disconnected from the rest of the world at the same time.
Well done, @detlev.
@detlev, I failed to pay out 0.749 HIVE and 0.103 HBD to reward 7 comments in this discussion thread.
My wallet is running low on Hive or HBD. I will try again later.
Nice options. Will compare with the one that I used in Split last year... which was a bit disappointing at some point.
I use Revolut eSims outside Europe. Affordable, reliable. Can recommend ;)
Yes, they are good in many places.
We tried this here but the local Malaysian partner was damn slow. Ask @rivalzzz about his test with that.
It's good advice. I personally I often use this product because more affordable and easy to use.
Thanks - seems we get now a quite good information for many travelers
I'm leaving tomorrow with the boys from the choir, and we're evaluating options to get to Italy and have internet access from the start. Airalo is one of our options, and now that I'm reading this, I'll definitely keep it up. Happy day brother!,. It's great that you're sharing this today 🙏
Good tips on staying connected in Malaysia for HiveFest! 🇲🇾 Airolo sounds promising for unlimited data. 👍
Yeah using Airolo for some time but there are many different options. Eskimo is one of this.
Yeah - someone used it and both of us got more data volume
Thank you @detlev for sharing a detailed post
My (Bharat 🇮🇳) sim provider provided a international recharge & I opted for that.
So that I don't have to change anything - sim wise. I still get calls/sms from Bharat 🇮🇳 & call/sms back to 🇮🇳.
It wasn't a cheap one but for me it's most suitable one.
