This week's topic is - MALE BIRDS

Chaffinch
While the female is difficult to distinguish from a sparrow from a distance, the male is clearly distinguished by its appearance and the presence of blue, pale rufous, and a touch of yellow.

Asian Stonechat
The male is deep black with a reddish chest. Females are brown and washed-out.

Bluethroat
The male is beautiful and colorful. And the females... you'll hardly see them; it's very rare to see a female of these birds, but once you see one, you'll immediately know it's a female. She has only gray and black plumage, lacking that colorful "apron."

Common Rosefinch
The older the male, the brighter and more intense his pink color. Young males and females have identical plumage, resembling a sparrow's.

Redpoll
Males have a crimson neck and chest, while females do not.

Redstart
The male is beautiful, with a bright orange underparts and black upperparts, with a gray head.

самцы почему-то всегда ярче самок. у людей наоборот)
Самки высиживают яйца, им ни к чему быть заметными :)
