Cheap is expensive? My experience buying pots and pans [ENG-ESP]

Greetings friends of Hive Geek, again I'm around these parts sharing purchases I made for my new home, this time I'll show you two different sets of pots I bought, I'll tell you my experience with both and see in reality the well-known phrase ''Cheap is expensive'' although luckily for me, it was not expensive because I could solve it.

Saludos amigos de Hive Geek, nuevamente estoy por estos lados compartiendo compras que realice para mi nuevo hogar, en esta ocasión les voy a mostrar dos juegos de ollas diferentes que compre, les voy a contar mi experiencia con ambas y ver en la realidad la frase tan conocida ´´Lo barato sale caro´´ aunque por suerte para mí, no me salió caro porque pude resolverlo.

After moving I consider that where one invests more money is in buying kitchen utensils, of course, if one decides to cook every day. So I had to look for a set of pots and pans, not too big and not too small, I just needed them to be able to cook some things on a daily basis. I must be honest, I tried to save and set a very small budget to buy them and that was my mistake, now with more experience I think the following, if I buy good pots and pans they will last me for many years, so why would I skimp on this?

Tras mudarme considero que en donde uno invierte más dinero es en comprar utensilios de cocina, claro, si es que uno decide cocinarse todos los días. Así que tocaba ver un juego de ollas no muy grande ni muy chico, simplemente necesitaba que cumplieran para yo poder cocinarme algunas cosas en el día a día. Debo ser sincero, intente ahorrar y ponerme un presupuesto muy chico para comprarlas y ahí estuvo mi error, ya ahora con más experiencia pienso lo siguiente, si compro unas buenas ollas están me quedaran por muchos años ¿Así que porque escatimaría gastos en esto?

Just looking on the internet I had found a good deal on a set of pots and pans along with some utensils for stirring or serving noodles so without thinking much more and without many recommendations I bought it. It arrived at my door pretty quickly and I must say that the first few days it did its job very well, I was able to cook delicious food for myself and my girlfriend, but after a week I noticed that these pots had practically destroyed themselves.

Justo buscando por internet me había salido una buena oferta de un juego de ollas junto con algunos utensilios para revolver o servir fideos así que sin pensarlo mucho más y sin que tuviera muchas recomendaciones lo compre. Llego a mi puerta bastante rápido y debo decir que los primeros días cumplió muy bien su trabajo, pude cocinarme ricos alimentos tanto para mi como para mi novia, pero al pasar una semana noté que prácticamente estas ollas se habían auto destruido.

I washed them carefully but the paint was coming off, both outside and inside and especially inside and when the paint came off and washed it ended up rusting, practically in less than 8 days these pots had become unusable and as I had the protection of the purchase I decided to make the claim and return them, luckily there were no major problems. Just at that moment I began to see that more people made the return and began to leave negative reviews until they decided to pause the publication.

Los lave con cuidado pero la pintura se salía, tanto por fuera como por dentro y especialmente dentro y al salirse la pin tura y lavarlo termino por oxidarse, prácticamente en menos de 8 días estas ollas habían quedado inutilizables y como contaba con la protección de la compra decidí hacer el reclamo y devolverlas, por suerte no hubo mayores problemas. Justo en ese momento empecé a ver que más gente hizo la devolución y comenzaron a dejar reseñas negativas hasta que decidieron pausar la publicación.

Well, after this important learning I reflected and said that I would no longer skimp on expenses with this, I researched and bought the Hudson brand cookware set, I could choose between blue, black and red, but it would have seemed disrespectful not to choose the red ones because they look really beautiful. This box has 5 pieces, a frying pan, a small pot and a large pot with their respective lids, the lid of the large pot works for both that and the frying pan and this is excellent.

Bueno, tras este importante aprendizaje reflexione y dije que ya no escatimaría en gastos con esto, investigue y me compre el juego de ollas de la marca Hudson, podía elegir entre azul, negro y rojo, pero me hubiera parecido una falta de respeto no elegir las rojas porque se ven realmente hermosas. Esta caja cuenta con 5 piezas, una sartén, una olla pequeña y una grande con sus respectivas tapas, la tapa de la olla grande funciona tanto para esa como para la sartén y esto es excelente.

The quality was absolutely incomparable, beautiful finishes, beautiful grips, lids and the color was splendid. I have already had the opportunity to use them many times, cook delicious meals and clean them without any problems, I am taking great care of them so they will last for a long time. Now I just need to get some utensils for stirring and serving, especially I want to buy a silicone spatula to avoid scratching the inside of these pans.

La calidad era absolutamente incomparable, hermosas terminaciones, hermosos agarres, tapas y el color esplendido. Ya he tenido la oportunidad muchas veces de usarlas, cocinar comidas muy ricas y limpiarlas sin tener ningún problema, las estoy cuidando muchísimo para que me duren por mucho tiempo. Ahora solo me faltan conseguí algunos utensilios para revolver y servir, especialmente quiero comprar una espátula de silicona para no rallar el interior de estas ollas.

I have learned not to be so stingy especially with the things that accompanied me for a long time in my life and even more if I will use them so often, I have seen first hand the phrase ''cheap is expensive'' but luckily I did not have to take the direct consequences, but the protected purchase saved me, I hope you can also be judicious when buying what you want.

He aprendido a no ser tan tacaño especialmente con las cosas que me acompañaron mucho tiempo en mi vida y más aun si los voy a usar tan seguido, he visto de primera mano la frase ´´Lo barato sale caro´´ pero por suerte no tuve que llevarme las consecuencias directas, sino que la compra protegida me salvo, espero que ustedes tambien puedan ser juiciosos a la hora de comprar lo que deseen.
