Hello, my dearest hive friends. I hope everyone's doing well, and to my fellow Cebuanos who also experienced the earthquake, I hope you are all safe. This is what happened before the earthquake.

Moments Before The Disaster: My Friend Lorene's 18th Birthday Celebration
Hours before the powerful Magnitude 6.9 earthquake struck my beloved Cebu Province, I attended Lorene's 18th birthday. It was supposed to be a fun and memorable day for her. What was once thought to be fun turns into a nightmare.
We celebrated her birthday at La Mer Beach Resort, San Remigio, Cebu. The place is so aesthetic and I really love the vibes there.
Solo picture taking of the birthday girl.

She's so happy. I really love her so much. It was supposed to be one of the happiest day in her life.
One thing about me is I really love the ocean. Everytime I get a chance to take a picture, I would literally take lots of pics and swim if my mother allows me to.

This is just one of the many pictures that I took. The pink in between the blue ocean and sky is like hinting something or am I just superstitious.
Pictures with the birthday girl.

We looked so happy — unaware of the terrifying disaster that would happen to us.
Giving gifts for the birthday girl.

I gifted her a hair clip and an eyelash curler.
Foods!!!

I really love the foods that they served.
I'll be turning 18 next year, and I don’t want any grand celebration. I just want to share a meal with my closest family and friends. I really hate growing up, the responsibilities are getting out of hand. I want to be 17 forever. I don't want to grow up. I don't want to be an adult. I just want to be a teenager with no responsibilities at all. Can we just skip to the time that I am already successful in life?
To Lorene,
I hope you know that I love you so much. Please keep your bright soul and never change. I love you just the way you are.
Thanks for being one of the reasons my life feels alive.
Love,
Khirstine
