Hello everyone in this community! My boyfriend @yugochin and I currently live in separate cities, but we try to see each other regularly so we can take a break from our daily activities and spend time together. While Barquisimeto (Venezuela) doesn't offer a lot of variety when it comes to free recreation, that doesn't mean you should discount simple or free plans. I'd like to tell you a little about what we did on my last trip and maybe give you some date ideas 😊

Day 1: 💚🌳 Park Visit 🌱💚

There are several parks in the city, although the most visited is the East Park, since its entrance is free and, at least the last time I went before moving, the place was quite well-kept. 😌 But this time, we headed to the Bararida Zoological and Botanical Park, where admission per person is only $2. We hadn't been there in many years, so we were eager to see how much it had changed. I didn't remember anything from my last visit, so it was as if I was going to that park for the first time.

Since it had been raining that day, we headed to the park in the afternoon and did a quick tour 😆 But we were able to see the park's condition. The vegetation was at its best due to the rains, there were several food stalls and cafes, as well as places to sit and rest or row boats. We saw the animals while we took a short walk and then sat down to eat some treats, chat, breathe in the fresh air, and take advantage of the opportunity to blow bubbles. My idea was to have an artistic picnic that day, but the weather didn't allow it, so it ended up as a quick picnic for snacks haha. Even so, we spent a pleasant afternoon and picked some flowers from the area to keep as souvenirs of that special day.

Day 2: 💚🏢 Going to a mall or small shops 🍨💚

I think this is the most common destination in that city. The good thing is that there are at least three shopping malls (the most popular ones), so you can at least walk around one of them while browsing the shops and chatting a bit. The food courts in the malls always have a variety of options and sometimes offer pretty good prices. Movie theaters also have their "popular" days, where tickets can be half price.

The same goes for small shops, like ice cream parlors. My boyfriend loves buying a giant tub of six-flavored ice cream for just $5. We're completely stuffed afterward, and not only do they offer those flavors, but they also have six different toppings. It's a great deal! I like to follow small shops or cafes on social media; they're great options for a unique outing.

Day 3: 💚🌱 Art Picnic 🎨💚

Remember that day at the park, when I wanted to have a picnic? Well, that day we ate all the snacks I had bought, but I still wanted to have the art picnic, so we decided to do it at home. With a blanket in a large, preferably clear area, you can lay out your art supplies and let your imagination run wild. With instrumental music in the background, my boyfriend and I tried to paint each other's portraits using watercolors. It was quite fun.

The great thing about art picnics is that there are so many ways to express your art: watercolors, crayons, clay, collages, creating props... whatever you want! Sharing those moments with your partner and then gifting them your creation is a wonderful way to spend time together, I think.

As you can see, you can have a fun and enjoyable time without having to spend exorbitant amounts of money. If you want to spend time with your partner, friends, or family and think you can't because you don't have enough money, don't limit yourself! The most important thing is always the time you spend with that special person and that you both focus on enjoying the experience. The rest is the least of it 😊

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad! Actualmente mi novio @yugochin vivimos en ciudades separadas, pero tratamos de vernos cada cierto tiempo para poder despejarnos de nuestras actividades diarias y pasar momentos juntos. Si bien, la ciudad de Barquisimeto (Venezuela), no cuenta con tanta variedad a la hora de recrearse de forma gratuita, eso no significa que deban desprestigiarse los planes sencillos o sin costo. Me gustaría comentarles un poco de lo que hicimos en mi último viaje y tal vez, darles algunas ideas para citas 😊

Día 1: 💚🌳 Visita al parque 🌱💚

En la ciudad hay varios parques, aunque el más frecuentado es el parque del Este, ya que su entrada es gratuita y al menos, la última vez que yo fui antes de mudarme, el lugar estaba bastante cuidado 😌 Pero en ésta oportunidad, nos dirigimos al Parque Zoológico y Botánico Bararida, cuya entrada por persona es de apenas 2$. Ambos teníamos muchos años sin ir al mismo, así que estábamos ansiosos por ver qué tanto había cambiado. Yo no recordaba nada de mi última visita, así que fue como si estuviera yendo a ese parque por primera vez.

Como aquel día había estado lloviendo, nos dirigimos al parque en la tarde e hicimos una visita rápida 😆 Pero pudimos ver las condiciones del parque. La vegetación estaba en su máximo esplendor debido a las lluvias, habían varios puestos de comida y cafetería, así como lugares para sentarse a descansar o los botes para remar. Vimos los animales mientras dábamos una pequeña vuelta y nos sentamos luego a comer golosinas, charlamos, respiramos aire fresco y aprovechamos e hicimos burbujas. Mi idea era hacer un picnic artístico ese día, pero el tiempo no nos lo permitió, quedando como un picnic rápido para comer snacks jaja. Aún así, pasamos una tarde agradable y recogimos algunas flores del lugar, para guardarlas como recuerdos de aquel día tan especial.

Día 2: 💚🏢 Salida a un centro comercial o locales pequeños 🍨💚

Creo que éste es el destino más habitual en aquella ciudad 😆 lo bueno es que se cuenta con al menos tres centros comerciales (los más populares), así que al menos se puede recorrer alguno mientras se visitan las tiendas y se charla un poco. En las ferias de comida de los centros comerciales, siempre hay variedad y en ocasiones, hay precios bastante buenos. Los cines, también tienen su día popular, en donde las entradas pueden estar a mitad de precio.

Lo mismo ocurre con tiendas pequeñas, como las heladerías. Mi novio adora comprar una tina de helado gigante de seis sabores en apenas 5$. Acabamos completamente llenos luego de ello y no sólo ofrecen esos sabores, sino que también tienen seis toppings distintos ¡Es una gran oferta! Me gusta seguir en mis redes sociales a los locales pequeños o cafeterías, son excelentes opciones para una salida diferente.

Día 3: 💚🌱 Picnic artístico 🎨💚

¿Recuerdan que el día del parque quería hacer un picnic? Pues, ese día nos comimos todas las botanas que había comprado, pero había quedado con las ganas de hacer el picnic artístico, así que decidimos hacerlo en casa. Con una manta en un lugar amplio y de preferencia despejado, puedes colocar tus materiales de arte y dejar volar la imaginación. Con música instrumental de fondo, mi novio y yo tratamos de retratar al otro usando acuarelas. Fue bastante divertido.

Lo bueno de los picnics artísticos es que hay muchas posibilidades de expresar el arte: Acuarelas, crayones, plastilinas, collages, creando accesorios... ¡Lo que desees hacer! Compartir junto a tu pareja esos momentos y luego obsequiarle tu creación, pienso que es una manera maravillosa de pasar un tiempo juntos.

Como pueden ver, se puede pasar un rato divertido y agradable sin tener que gastar cantidades exorbitantes de dinero. Si quieres pasar tiempo con tu pareja, amigos o familiares y piensas que no puedes porque no tienes suficiente dinero ¡No te limites! Lo importante de todo siempre va a ser el tiempo que pasas con esa persona especial y que ambos se enfoquen en vivir la experiencia, el resto es lo de menos 😊
