We Are The Stories We Tell!

The story of the story started a very long time ago. When people could get the idea that they have a tale to tell the subtle idea of the story emerged. Stories started to flourish from the very beginning of civil human civilization.

The very first form of stories were oral. It was the evolutionary instinct that helped us to come up with the amazing capability of using oral sound as communication. And that is how our early ancestors have developed the idea of using distinct sounds as means of communication. Even now we can still observe the use of sound within the culture of many aboriginal people around the world.

Spoken words started to flourish with a great seed as it was a basic need of the ancient people. But only a language was not enough to have a meaningful human life back then. We needed something else to establish the meaning of our acquired knowledge. That is where stories were needed to describe the facts and the divine for our own shake. It can be taken as a foundation of human excellence and complex understanding of the Universal facts and incidents.

People back then used stories to describe the meaning and facts of the mysterious natural phenomenon. They had their own way of storytelling that helped to shape every aspect of nature and their tribe at the same time.

Many ethnic groups around the world still have their own distinct style of storytelling which is truly amazing. Stories were made to make people understand the core issue of social factors as well to describe the unknown mysteries that they couldn’t explain scientifically.

It was the time when people were facing a subtle shift from a barbarian life with small groups to a more comfortable and secure social life. They started to adapt to this lifestyle and faced a crucial need of explaining means to communicate, trade, research and most importantly contribute to flourish the civilization as we see it now.

The act of reasoning and questioning were the frequent attempts done by our ancestors. In order to find the acceptable answers they explored and gained knowledge about the world. But if we think about their premature knowledge of understanding the world, we can explore a small gap in between their findings and their observations. That is where the importance of stories comes in.

They tried to fill the gap with stories. Myths and legends were made to explain the subtle unexplainable phenomenon. They were made or flourished to explain the supernatural and the very connection of people to philosophical ideas.

People stared at the sky, and were amazed to see the million stars, the sun, the moon, the clouds and the thunder! Explaining these natural incidents was difficult at that time, so they adapted stories. Stories that make a feeling or connections with the subtle aspects which put us together. Stories gave us hope. Stories made us smile and sad at the same time.

We are still living in the stories literally!!
No matter if the story is yours or others;
We must fit in.
Everyone has a story to tell. It doesn’t matter to be good or bad.

Let's tell our stories together.
