I now understand better why it's said that the most important meal of the day is breakfast; you shouldn't skip it and make sure you eat a good breakfast. I believe there's some health advice around the statement, but I'm not coming from there. I'm just drawing the point that, if a meal in the morning is tagged the most important for the day, when there are two other meals remaining and more than twelve hours in the day, then it says a lot about the morning routine.
Yes, the morning rituals or routine. As a student, we must find our morning routines that work well for us. Of course, there are times that they won't go the same way we plan or envision or even usually have it. Yet, it shouldn't stop us. I'll mention how that was with me as I discuss what my morning routines were like.
As a Christian, one of my core values in life is my faith. Not just a faith, rather a relationship with my God and my Lord and Saviour. What do I do first when I wake up? I engage in morning devotion. This involves me reading from the Bible and a devotional, praying and drawing inferences from the words for the day, to build and edify me for the world ahead. This was very much necessary for me and life, beyond just school.
I don't do this one often, but sometimes I engage in morning exercises. Some little exercises to help flex my muscles and get me refreshed for the day. This was especially during my latter years in school, and I found it helpful. Exercising is very important, so this was something I found necessary, especially when I could.

Then there's washing of plates, which I don't always do in the morning. The days I found time I did them if not till I was back from school. Cleaning or sweeping the room was there as well. But since I had roommates I didn't always do it. Sometimes, I do while they do at other times. And when there was an academic activity to do or wrap up, I did that. Not always though, it could get very busy in the morning sometimes.
Some scrolling through my chats makes up a part of this routine. There were times when I went to school not knowing lectures were cancelled, and sometimes that was the only lecture in the morning. So, a little scrolling to check this, and reply to some messages was part of the morning preparation. There could be some things to attend to there before stepping out for classes.
Like I said, things could not go the way we planned or usually have them. In my case, I don't know if to say what I mentioned above is the normal way I have it in the morning. Many times, my eyes see the rising of the sun. Not watching it do its thing of course; I happen to mostly work through the night, academic or otherwise. Nevertheless, it doesn't stop me from doing the things that could seem necessary in the morning, though it gets kind of different.

Starting the day right is highly essential to how the remaining hours of the day will go.
Very essential.
Thank you for stopping by.
You're welcome
Devotion was something I rarely did. I started for a few days then voom! Sleep won again. It's often difficult to keep to one routine except for the exercise, I see my brother do that every morning. One or two press up was enough for him and drinking of water, these two things are constant in his morning routines
Sleep win again, lol. It's truly difficult to keep one routine, I feel that too. Sometimes we could fail but we shouldn't stop. The devotion too was a difficulty for me sometimes, but I kept like with other necessary routine too. It's good to keep up with the morning exercise. That means your brother was a motivation and encouragement to you. That's nice.
Thank you the comment.
I didn't join him though. I only watch him do his things
