Things That Make a Day Perfect for Me as a Young Bachelor and Student

Honestly, as a young bachelor still trying to find my balance between school stress and daily survival, a perfect day is not about driving the latest car or balling in a VIP lounge. Sometimes, it’s the little things. Realistically, if these three things fall into place, I can beat my chest and say today was good. No unnecessary drama, just vibes and peace of mind.

First, I need a calm and quiet morning. That one is very important. When I wake up and there’s no noise from the compound, no generator rattling in the background, no neighbours shouting about one thing or the other, it’s already a win. I like my mornings peaceful. Let my fan blow softly, let there be light so I can at least charge my phone, and let me just stretch small before I even start thinking about the day.

If I manage to wake up early and there’s bread and egg waiting or maybe even just soak garri and groundnut with chilled water, I’m happy. It doesn’t need to be fancy. The main thing is that I don’t have to rush or start running up and down looking for what to eat. That slow calm start sets the mood right. I can even play a bit of music or check WhatsApp slowly without pressure. Once my morning no get wahala, I already feel like I’m on the right track.

The second thing that makes my day smooth is when there’s no academic or financial stress. You see that combo of school stress and being broke? That’s a wicked combo. So if I go to class and the lecturers behave like human beings, not shouting or acting like we begged them to teach us, I’m grateful. When the topic makes sense and I’m not totally lost in the middle of the lecture, I feel fulfilled.

Now to the money matter. I’m not asking for ten thousand naira. Just that small money that will cover food, maybe one chilled drink, and transport. If I can eat what I want and I’m not thinking of who to borrow 500 naira from, my day is already sweet. In fact, if I get a surprise alert from someone or get paid for something I did, even if it’s 1k, it lifts my mood. The truth is, once food and small comfort are covered, most of us bachelors are okay.

Finally, the third thing that completes my perfect day is good vibes. No bad energy, no one bringing unnecessary drama. Whether it’s hanging out with friends and gisting about random things like football or girls or even Nigeria’s problems, or just being on my own watching a movie, I enjoy it as long as there’s peace. I like laughing over silly stuff, arguing playfully and just chilling.

Sometimes, if I talk to someone I really like that day and the conversation flows without any tension or attitude, that’s another big win. No tension, just sweet banter. When evening comes, I like sitting outside, maybe with something cold in hand, soft music playing in the background, scrolling through my phone and feeling like I made it through the day with my sanity intact.

So for me, a perfect day doesn’t mean I have to achieve something big or post any motivational quote online. It’s just when everything moves smoothly. No hunger, no sudden bills, no fights, no wahala. Peaceful morning, small money, zero drama. That’s the soft life I like. Nothing too much, just a normal day that doesn’t stress my head.

It is just like when we are busy with our studies and the problems of life are also going on at the same time, then managing life is not easy at all and time is passing by very fast. If we cannot manage everything on time, then life will give us many lessons that we will remember for the rest of our lives. In the end, only those who fight both and work hard will succeed.
