THOUGHTFULNESS || A RARE COMMODITY.

It's rare to see someone who puts their whole heart into something without being told to, it's rare to find someone who helps you without expecting for anything in return, it's rare to find good people and kind souls these days. Like why are people taking them for granted, I don't think it's easy to meet such people, so when you do, hold them tight but out of our ignorance, we let them slip away.

Today, I saw something that really upset me, which wasn't nice. I had a baptism class this morning, so I went to church early and was waiting for others to arrive. I saw two women in the church, from sanctuary department. I greeted them and I went inside to wait for others.

Suddenly, I heard the woman shouting outside how the young members of the church who work in the church always trash things around and don't throw them straight into the waste bin. I heard them talking about how they will fetch water for the church and the girls working there will use the water without refilling it back and leaving what they ate in the church, which is very bad. Are we supposed to litter what we eat in the church? Is the waste bin outside for fancy? This is a church for Christ sake, the one dedicated to chirst, should be kept neat. If you're a Christian, act like one.

I remember one of the women mentioning that they used to be three of them before, but due to the ladies behavior and countless times she has warned them but there refuse to listen, to the extent that the ladies started insulting the woman, so she got fed up and quit. The other women said that they will call her to come during the week and fetch water for them since they couldn't do it themselves. Like why will someone behave like that. if it's easy for them to trash things in the church, imagine how their house will be.

And the second woman made a statement, that if things get worse, she will also quit, since the ladies don't appreciate their efforts. No one offered her a job in the church, she volunteered out of goodwill. Just for her to receive nonsense from the ladies old enough to be her daughters.

It's not nice. I felt for the women. These women are dedicating their time and effort with all their heart, and it's being taking for granted, as if they are nothing. If these women say they can't continue again and leave, it would be very hard for them. We should always appreciate what people do for us, we should value their time and kindness. Who in this world, especially in this new era, would asks for something and not expect anything return? We should be generous and thoughtful, celebrate their strengths, cherish and never let such rare people slip away.
