Essence of Life: The Search for Purpose, The Hustle Continues Regardless

Life is a cycle I still don’t fully understand. Babies are born into a world they never asked to enter. People die, leaving behind stories that sometimes end with a whisper. Friends come, some stay, some go all of them dropping a lesson or two like coins in a jar of wisdom we carry around.

I’ve watched people I love take their final breath and the world keeps moving like nothing happened. It hurts. It confuses me. It makes me question the essence of it all.

We grow up, go to school, learn things we may never use, then jump into a hustle just to survive. We wake up every morning tired, half-sleeping only to go to work where we feel underpaid, sometimes insulted by a boss who doesn’t even know our story. Still, we keep showing up.

Why? Because deep down, we’re searching for purpose. That one reason that’ll make the struggle feel worth it. But finding that purpose is like chasing shadows. Some find it early, most of us don’t and yet, we keep moving. Maybe that’s what life is not answers, but motion. Not perfection, but persistence.

I've realized that the hustle never ends not because we’re greedy, but because we’re hopeful. We believe tomorrow might be better. We believe there's something more maybe peace, maybe success, maybe love.

So, what’s the essence of life?

Maybe it’s to feel deeply, learn constantly, connect, and keep going, even when it makes no sense. Maybe purpose isn’t a destination maybe it’s hidden in the small things we overlook while rushing: a smile from a stranger, a kind word, the quiet moments before sleep.

Until we figure it all out, we hustle. We live. We learn.
Because somehow, we believe it’s all worth it.
