When Emotions Are Currency.

Huhm, this is a very deep one. Talking of if emotions become the new currency. Was thinking of the best way to approach this topic, maybe to go the story(fiction)way, but then, I decided to settle for this....

If emotions were to become the new currency, don't be surprised at how silent the whole world will be. Imagine walking into a shop and wanted to get a groceries, on a norms, after asking, "how much is bournvita?" You would be expecting to hear, "A sachet is $200 and the big one is $3000." But now, you walk into a shop and ask, "how much is bournvita?" And you hear, "how happy are you feeling today?" In short, in such a world, happiness, joy, love and the likes would be compared to dollars and can get you the big things, and the likes of sadness, doubt and all would be compared with maybe naira or coins and would only get you the little/small things and feelings like anger wouldn't get you anything, or better still you get angry and fall into debt for how long you got angry.

This is a world being shaped by people, it might look like it would be okay, but sincerely it wouldn't. People woul start faking things. You will find a lot of people smiling not because they are really happy, but because smile now pay the bills. People would try their best to remain and stay positive at all times, the more positive energy you have, the richer you are and the more negative you are the more poorer you will be. Even though I am looking at a good side of things here, wouldn't that help stop war and hatred, because no one or country would want to waste their emotional fortune on violence.

But like I said earlier, here humans shape things. They will still find a way around things, people would fake emotions just to be able to get what they want. Politicians will now cry just so to buy the sympathies and trust of the people, those who do business too would pretend to be kind just so to gain more emotional wealth. I feel this would make emotions lose its true meaning, because aside from the fact that people will now start faking things, emotions such as love, affection and the likes would now become a business transaction. I feel that's abuse of emotions.

Personally, I feel I would still love to live in a world like that, at least for a while, just to see how true people really are. I still have some some points with @soma18 and I believe that still counts, at least it's enough to get me some peace and be done with this discipline of a thing 😁. Back to the topic, I would really love to experience it, I would be able to trade my worries for friendships, and my joy to help others feel better. Since emotions is the new currency, then we can be able to accumulate it same way we accumulate money/wealth today. You get some bad energy and it reduces. And if emotions also were a currency, then the world wouldn't rate the richest people based on their cars, mansions, lands and the likes, but based on their empathy, and the ability to love without limits.

In conclusion, I feel that's what our world today really needs. Humanity is long gone in our world today. A world where emotions is the new currency would help rest who we really are at our core. Even though some will definitely go bankrupt in kindness, some will get their hands on a different kind of wealth they could only dream of. So, if I had emotions to spend, I would gladly spend them on healing the world.

Honestly, when I saw this prompt, I didn't just know which angle to approach it from but trust me, you did justice to the topic.

I'm still trying to imagine a situation whereby I walk into a supermarket, pick out posh items and simply walk to the counter, smiling and I'm good to go.

However, humans tend to use and abuse every bit of opportunity given to them so the misuse of emotions will definitely be the trend, as everyone would go around plastering smiles on their faces even when they're bitter deep down.

As it is, you are the one owing me some points and by that I mean a -50. Over the weeks, you successfully lost the little you managed to obtain. So yea, we're yet to begin this discipline business 😎😏.

You nailed it sis, people would definitely abuse it, you walk on the streets and see people faking smiles as if they were teddy bears😁.

I thought..., omo 🤦, so I have debts piling up🥺 when exactly will I really earn some credit for all of these, can't you even be considerate, the past week hasn't been that smooth. But then, I won't say much here 😁.

Thanks a lot for stopping by Sis, very well appreciate this thoughtful comment of yours.
💯❤️💯

Eggxactly 😅

Well don't bother thoughting. The past week wasn't all rosey at allllll so I'm even being way too considerate as it is. You should be thanking me bro 😉.

You're very much welcome 💙.

I already know you won't rest 😞 It's definitely not your...🤐

I don't blame you 😅

🤨
🚶

I hate it when emotions come to business.

I doubt if in that world anything emotions will be genuine as everyone will try to get themselves some funds.

Smiles...
Who knows, but then it's obvious a lot will definitely take it..
