Childhood days were fun, and that phase of my life didn't end without me having diverse dreams of what I wanted to become in the future, the same as other kids as well. While some children don't live the dreams they dreamt, others actually live the dreams they nursed right from childhood to adulthood,bringing those fantasies into reality.
It's also common to see many children gradually shifting away from their original dream as they continue to grow, explore their world, and be exposed to diverse knowledge. Suddenly , some children start developing new interests in other careers, and some just go with the flow , whatever is available. Let it be as long as I make a living. Someone told me recently that all these pursuit of courses are all cruise, that as for him, anything to survive is just okay as long as his earning is legit,his one-time childhood dream doesn't matter, hehehe.
As for me, I had lots of imagination as a child. I aspired to become many things. Today,it's this; tomorrow, it's that, just like my child is acting already. He has been talking about becoming a civil engineer for a long time, but this year, he changed it to firefighter, lol. I am sure he will still change it again until he finally matures a bit and is ready to take such an important career decision.
So one of my earliest childhood dreams was to become a newscaster. I so much loved this; I wanted to be seen on TV and heard on the radio. Back then, I read news in my school and in my church whenever there was an event that called for that. It was as if I had the talent because my presentation was always epic. I remember trending in our community over the news I read during a school graduation. I mimicked those newscasters and did it diligently. At a point, I started gathering information within our vicinity, writing it on a plain sheet, gathering my fellow kids, and keeping them entertained with news.
It was mad fun those times, but then, when I was in my senior secondary school, I hated art subjects, especially history and literature. That was the end of my dream. I switched to science immediately and started dreaming of becoming a nurse., hahaha! However , this second dream wasn't dreaming when reality came knocking, as I am so emotional. I can't withstand a sick person; I will cry and cry as if I am the patient. I can't even imagine punching someone with a needle, not to mention laying my hands on them with other complicated procedures as a professional nurse. So this realization changed my dream again...lol.
Finally , I settled on being a dental technologist. At least in this one, I don't really deal with patients directly as much except in rare cases. I deal with practical models where all dental appliances are constructed before fitting them in the patients' oral cavity. But then, I haven't been practicing for some time now due to family reasons. I now found myself as a writer and a realtor making a living from it as well.
If I have an opportunity, I would love to live my earliest childhood dream, which is to be a newscaster. Deep down within , I still love this career, but I don't know how to bring it into reality anymore at this point in life.
Life happens, but some dreams don’t die; rather, they wait for the right season.

Yes o some dreams don't die. Some are lucky to bring that dream to pass in their lifetime while others are not so lucky.
You can start casting news on hive na. Maybe make some few minutes video about some current happenings and post it lets hear you read the news😂

Dreams really do change as we grow. Sometimes, life just takes us in a different direction. But that childhood dream of being a newscaster doesn’t have to die. You can still start small maybe reading news updates online, or starting a YouTube channel.
Yea..it does change as we grow...the one i.love is TV news oo...but I feel it might be stressing going through school to achieve it
Dream sometimes comes to reality on like me I am still pursuing my last dream of becoming a navy that is why I am studying computer science in other to find things easy there in the aspect of using the ship and other things there so my plan is if I finish my education I will put more effort till I achieve my goal

It is very important for a newscaster to fulfill his childhood dream. No ordinary person can do this job. It requires hard work and dedication because you know how many people will be watching you when you do a newscast. For this, you have to be fully prepared and you have to keep your face calm and your mind focused on the newscast you are doing. This is a great art that not everyone can do.

Dreaming of becoming a newsreader as a child, reading the news at school functions – reading this part reminded me of my own childhood. How fun those days were! And then going to the science branch and having a new dream of becoming a nurse, but having that dream shattered due to emotions – your honesty really touched me. Many of us change our paths for various reasons, but we may not reveal it.
In the end, the experience of writing and working as a realtor despite being a dental technologist for family reasons proves that life is truly like a river. Even if it does not run in a straight line, it finds its own course.

I also believe that it is because we were naive back then as children so we just get to dream anything that seems good to us. I had dreams of become a doctor at a time, a pilot at another time, a scientist at another time. All of these came up because I saw someone in that field and I think that it is the best for me.
