Good day, people of Hive! Welcome to my blog. Today's topic is from Scifi Multiverse which says: "The Age of Clones". So let's dive in.
There is a saying that humans were made in twos. There are times people will call us saying that they saw us or someone who looks exactly like us in another place. Then we begin to wonder within ourselves if it is true. I have witnessed something like that. One day I was scrolling through TikTok when I saw a lady — a corper — who looked exactly like one of my coursemates, "Catherine". The way Catherine smiles and laughs is exactly how that lady smiled and laughed. To top it off, their complexions are the same. I was like, “Wow, Catherine and her sister resemble each other a lot,” so I saved the video to show Catherine the next day at school.
The next day when I got to school, I told Catherine that I had seen her sister. She said, “My sister?” I said yes and showed her the video. She was surprised because the resemblance was too much, but then she said she wasn't her sister and showed me a picture of her real sister. The funniest part is that she and her real sister don't resemble each other at all. Catherine collected the video from my phone and said she would show her family because they would be shocked as well. That's when I knew there might be some truth to the idea that humans were made in twos.

So back to the post. Now imagine a scientist walks up to me and says they have all the equipment to create a clone of me, not only someone who looks like me, but who thinks like me, eats like me, laughs like me, shares my moods, and even feels what I feel. Honestly, the idea of making a clone that looks exactly like me raises many doubts. I believe each of us is unique. There is only one me in this world, and that is what makes me special. If I agreed to let them create a clone of me, that uniqueness would disappear. Even if the clone looked exactly like me, it wouldn’t truly be me, it would just be a copy.
Another problem is that If the clone thinks and behaves like me, it would want the same things I want, e.g food, friends, clothes, family, etc. If I allowed a clone, my family and friends might not be able to tell the real me from the fake me. I only agree to create a clone of me to help carry my burden, not that it should spoil my relationships with my loved one's.
Also, life isn't full of roses; it comes with struggles that help us grow and shape who we are. If I let a clone carry all my burdens, I wouldn't learn from my own experiences. True, if the clone went to my school as me, I might have time to learn new skills, but I don't want that. I would rather go through struggles and challenges myself and come out stronger than have someone else do it for me. Another issue is responsibility. Once the scientists create a clone of me, I will be responsible for it, especially if the scientists allow me to control it. Which I'm not ready for any responsibility.
In conclusion, creating a clone just so I can share my burden feels wrong to me. Instead of creating another me, I would rather put more effort into what I'm doing and build good and lasting relationships with people around me. So if a scientists walks up to me and offered to make a clone of me, I would simply tell them, “No, I'm not interested,” because I don't want to create any problems for myself.

This is true. Problems are part of our existence on this planet
It's true nah, if I let clone to carry my burden then I'm not helping myself.
Good point a clone to compete for the things that you usually want is complicated!
Yes, but sometimes there's always consequences for it.
Thank you, Scifimultiverse.
