Yesterday morning was all about getting @stryeyz to the airport for her flight. We had her there by 10am for her noon flight and soon were on our way back home.
Downtown Spokane.
There is a certain kinda of charm to the older brick buildings and the newer ones kind of detract from that...
SOOOOO! We had been home maybe 30 minutes when I noticed the sheep and alpaca were all on the hill around a stump staring. Then I saw the birds freak out and went out to look. A MASSIVE coyote was standing inside the sheep pen just staring at the birds and animals. The fucking thing is the size of a German Sheppard! I ran in the house and grabbed my shotgun and ammo block and ran outside. I crept towards the pen watching for it and got about 50 feet from the pen when it stepped back forwards into my view. It turned to look at me as I pulled the trigger and the bird shot pellets hit it in the face. I know for sure as I can see the pellets that hit the wood so I know some hit its face.
The coyote bolted towards the highway and I ran after it. It then ran up my trail to my paragliding spot and I let another round loose after it. I was in my slide sandals so ran back to the house for my shoes then headed up the hill to try and track it. I got to the south end of the property and the sheep fence and there I found the coyote hair on the ground beneath the barbed wire where it went under. I then worked around the fence line and all the way down to by the art studio where I found its scat. Now I know what Jax has been freaking out about.
I'm really happy I have most of the farm fenced in, it's just about one roll needed and it will be fully fenced. I have the stuff to do it, it's just taking the time.
With the coyote well scared I made a shopping list to re-up some food stuffs. As I headed to the store the clouds had a killer look to them. I was really wanting to be flying up there...
Lol, my shopping list was all Bs. Butter, bread, bananas, bagels, and beer. Then I had to ruin it by get a C.
Wah, Wah, WAHHHHHHHHhhhhhh....
I hooked up the trailer for my grain run I did this morning and got the tires all filled.
Digging around I pulled this out and had totally forgotten about it. Back in the day at the drag strips I had free run of the pits and got to hang out around most all the nostalgia teams.
I remember every one of these cars! You can search their names and will see the pics.
Actually managed a soak for a bit but the old skin decided the length of time.
The moon was crazy bright and this shot came out pretty killer with the moon rays.
The zoom not so much.
This morning I have been to town for grain and nicely my PT appointment was at 6am so I just went there after getting grain. The boys are to school and I will empty the grain in a while. I was the first freeze last night at 30F so I will be checking on the garden as well once the sun is up. PDC Grand Prix is this week, and I still have a bunch of prep for garlic planting.

That sounds bad a coyote in the pen!😳
Do you have any problems with cougars?
Up here they seem to be picking off the neighbors livestock one at a time.!🙄
They are around, sometimes quite close but I don't think they have been on the farm.
That’s a good thing my friend, hopefully you scared off the coyote!👍😊
I was so very slightly ruing the single shot but it is so handy and easy to handle I can look past the slight difference in reload time.
Definitely a nice shotgun to have, I like both pump actions and single shots😊
I have a nice single shot, brake action, H&R 12 gauge that I’ve had since I was a teenager!😊
Lol, I still have my first gun which is a .40 cal muzzle loader rifle that I shot at 7 and did okay with in comps. My Dad has always been a long range sharp shooter so I had a good example.
That’s awesome!👍😊
I have the muzzleloader percussion pistol kit that I put together as a teenager, I believe it’s a 44 caliber not sure about that…… so much fun to shoot!🤗
The moon was so bright last night that it cast sharp shadows while I walked outside. It was wild. I could have read a book by moonlight.
Then this morning going for grain is was huge and super bright to the west.
