It was again cold yesterday morning but a degree or two warmer than prior. Even after the sun had come up it was pretty cool. It began to warm up more mid morning.

After getting the boys to school I got out the velcro and cut one piece to fit and attached it.

The loop side went on the ammo holder which then sticks nicely on the side.

It is perfect that it doesn't mess with the break action.

It is a bit arched but still sticks more than well enough on the side.

The position is really prime since the barrel breaks right next to the shells so one can be drawn out almost the same time as pulling the spent shell. The main point in all this is to be able to grab the thing and have the ammo with and not have to throw them in a pocket.

My chiro appointment was great and slowly am finding things that are helping my stupid back. I have a trifecta keeping my body fucked up so really need more rest and stretch time I think.

Costco for gas on the way home.

All the irrigation is off except the greenhouse now and the path had to be mowed back. I pulled the irrigation lines and moved them aside to better get in between the gooseberries.

The fence is moved now and the mowing gives us an extra bit to the path width.

PDC was on caught matches off an on during the day.

I picked R up from school instead of him riding the bus so that we could leave at 2:30 to go to Colville for J's cross country meet.

The high school was rather busy.

There was football practice, a football game, soccer practice, and a cross country meet all at the same time so there were people all over the place.

The boys did there warm ups before their race.

R spent much time long jumping.

Soon the boys were lining up for their race which went off at 4pm. Here the team was rubbing J's shaved head for luck. Lol.

There are some fast kids and the fastest was from our team. J did great on the run though!

He did great and ended up in 43rd place but with a time of 10:55, just 2 seconds off his personal best for the 1.5 mile.

After the girls ran we headed out and went down into town to the Pour House for dinner.

Not the easiest game as that base likes to roll easily.

OMG the Tay burger is divine!

The judging cat of the bathroom...

It was about 6pm when we headed for home.

As we got to Clayton the boys spotted the INSANELY huge moon to the east and I managed to get a couple clear shots as I drove.

Got a solid trading session in, best yet, and then headed out to soak which I only got about 25 minutes of.
Apparently setting my phone on the side for 15 minutes is the end of the world....

Garbage night of sleep, again. I have to work in the garden this morning after getting the boys to school, bag garbage sheet plastic from around the farm, counseling session mid day, will get the chainsaw prepped for tomorrow's tree work/felling/hauling, then will figure out dinner this evening.

I saw a YouTube video on shotgun accessories where Velcro strips of shell holders are apparently becoming popular with competitive shotgunners. Multiple strips can be carried in a pouch to replace the holder on the gun as they get emptied.
Well look at me unintentionally following the trend!
At about the 4:30 mark, he talks about the sidesaddle card system. I haven't tried it, though. I'm not in that tactical/competition sphere.
