4:30am awake, 5:00 am begin drive to town but have to turn around a couple miles south and go back to fill the tire with air. Back on road and get to brewery by 5:30am.
4 barrels awaited me.
Which got loaded into the trailer and all fit within the bed liner.
Check out the colors in the sky on my way home!!!!!
I took pictures through the side window as I drove since the sky looked so badass!
Stopped for gas and was ogling this core sample rig next to me.
Then the color just got better as I headed norht for the farm.
Let the grain sit for a while then headed out to shovel it all out. The birds and mammals all piled in to devour as I kept tossing the grain at them.
They are not hurting for food to eat right now!
Flight tracker up on the tv so we could watch @stryeyz flight home.
The weather for the weekend...
Got a bit of a harvest out of the greenhouse. Likely to be mainly tomatoes and peppers to come out of it now as the cucumbers are about done.
I was walking out to the car when I saw this massive mother fucker sitting on the steps. This was a HUGE bald faced hornet, truly the biggest I have ever seen. It got squished with serious intent.
The boys and I headed out to pickup @stryeyz and managed to only need to wait a few minutes in the cell lot before we were able to pull up to get her loaded in the car and on our way. We stopped for food at Panda then dropped her off at work to get some hours in. The boys and I headed for home.
The PDC is ongoing and the Littler match was great with him coming back to win it.
Rain was inbound so I had to go haul the pine needles in. I used the car to tow/drag the bed liner out where I filled it with my piles then drug it back into the farm.
I opened the garden fence and dragged the mass in and then covered it. They will be used to cover the garlic for the winter.
Had to test out the garlic dibble roller and found it works just fine at the current weight. The problem being the soil. It actually needs to be wet so the holes don't just slough back in.
I also found that I need to be better about setting the rows as I only managed about 1200 spots in 5 rows.
So I raked out the entire area as the rain was coming and I can try again today now that the soil should hold shape better.
Boys and I headed to town to pickup @stryeyz at work as the first round of rain streamed into the region.
As we sat and waited for her the back side of the storm went by and we got a killer huge double rainbow.
The doppler view of the storm cell.
To the store for birthday gifts for today and the sky looked pretty badass.
Then on the way home the storm looked pretty killer.
Today my final garlic order arrives! Then I have to go do a winterization of my oldest client's landscaping, @stryeyz has her last craft fair, the boys have a birthday party this afternoon, PDC finals is mid day, Kraken play this evening.
