A Few Pods Already: Signs That My Beans Harvest Is On the Way 🌱🌿✨

in Homesteading5 days ago

Take a look at how rewarding it is to be a farmer: you produce the food you eat with the labor of your own hands, without any manipulation. All you need to do is follow the right process.

Beans are the easiest crop to cultivate. The only time I get stressed during cultivation is when it comes to harvesting them, as I handpick the pods one by one.

However, that doesn't diminish the fact that the other tasks involved in farming are much less demanding.

The farmland where I plant beans each year isn't solely dedicated to beans; in fact, beans are planted after my main focus crops have been harvested.

It may seem like I don't value the beans very much, but the truth is that they thrive better at this time, once the other crops have been harvested. I can’t leave the land empty for most of the year waiting to plant beans because they struggle to survive under heavy rainfall. Even if they do survive, the harvest might be poor or the beans could rot.

There is a more in-depth explanation of what causes this rot, but that's a topic for another day. For now, I need to keep a close eye on the farm, as there’s a lot at stake.

Do you see beans as an easy crop to cultivate like I do, or do you disagree with my approach?

Wooo, I love it that your beans in the farm are bearing fruits, please help me @johnny023,

At what time of the year is suitable for planting beans.?

What method is usable to make them grow and bear fruits?

I lost totally on the Beans I planted in my garden. I planted them in the month of May this year.

They all germinated quite alright.
They had beautiful leaves, growing up and crawling everywhere, even beyond my boundaries.

But no singular boarding of fruits were seen,

I mean they never showed any fruiting at all, I didn't harvest even one piece....

I became utterly surprised as to what might have caused such fruitlessness.
Some few days ago, I went and uprooted them all, im in shock.

What advice and tutorial can you give me now on what happened to them. Please reply i'm waiting.

Because there was enough rainfall, sunlight and they were planted on a lomey good soil,

I even applied fertilizer on them yet no harvest at all from them.
