My Hive Goals (Week 20, 2025)

This is a short sum-up table with the state of my goals in easier TLDR form. The table has only a general overview, with details expanded in the post.

HBD in Savings at the Bull Market End Goal: 5,000 HBD

This is a goal inherited from last year, but mostly intended for this year.

Sell in May and go away or brace for a hot summer? I asked myself this question here.

From my experience, not many players/investors who go "all-in" win in the end. Of course, it matters when they decide to go out too. I doubt this is the final "out" this bull market. But it can't hurt to prepare for a potential downturn during the summer before the final push of the bull market.

That's why I am covered in both directions, surely, much more if the uptrend continues.

But I swapped a smaller portion of my liquid HIVE to HBD a few days back and waited to see if I am still ok with my decision after a while. Since I am, I moved them to savings, but in a different wallet than the one I count for this goal, because I don't want to be constraint by the goal, if/when I decide to swap it back to HIVE.

I also decided to swap most of my liquid DEC to HBD and move it to savings, something I'll likely continue to do until/unless SPS starts climbing, for two main reasons:

  • HBD keeps its peg better than DEC
  • to benefit for the interest in savings, before I decide to spend those DEC (which won't be for a while)

I also moved the HBD from author rewards to savings, this time to the wallet linked to this goal.

Current situation for the HBD in savings (+8.589 HBD):

Social Goals

Here are my social goals in 2025:

  • posting: at least 350 posts (max 1 per day) in 2025
  • commenting: an average of 81.25 comments per week (11.6 per day); this is at the beginning of the year, the average needed will change throughout the year;
  • publishing Week through Adrian's Lenses every week of 2025 (hopefully, maybe I can have 1 exception, under special circumstances)

Here's the current situation:

I have 3 days in a row of posting missing when I took my days off, otherwise I posted every day this year. Currently at 39.60% with 38.46% needed to be in the green.

I also started the week with 22,927 comments made. Ended the week with 22976 which means I made 49 comments last week, which is much lower than the average needed. This still shows the effect of my few days off. I currently need an average of 81 comments weekly to reach my target by the year end. I need to get back to commenting more, of this goal is in jeopardy again.

I published "Week through Adrian's Lenses" news roundup every week this year. Now at the 123rd edition.

Golem Overlord - Prestige 30

Started with prestige 20 (and XP 10,544) in week 2.

Here's the current situation:

image.png

Current Prestige level: 24

Needed XP to level up to Prestige 25: 57,217

Remaining XP to Prestige 25: 31,284

Days to Prestige 25: ~26

When upgrading to next prestige level, 75% of my XP will be cut, and I'll start over the climb from there.

Started the week 25,933 XP, ended it with 34,951 XP. That's 9,018 XP gained last week. I still need 22,266 XP to level up to Prestige 25. That's almost 19 days, if nothing changes in my pace of converting reputation to XP.

From week 8 I began tracking my Faith level, since starting from 600+ level, it gives a bonus to maximum rep conversion (0.5% per level).

Last week's Faith level: 421.

Current Faith level: 433.

To have have Faith at level 600 at the beginning of Q4 (13 weeks before the year end), I need an average of 8.79 Faith level upgrades per week. This week I leveled up Faith by 12, which was above the average needed.

ZING Accumulation Target: 200k

For anyone who doesn't know, ZING is the token of the Holozing game (currently, it has no publicly released gameplay).

Slow and steady. Everything fine for now.

Here's the current situation:

image.png

Started the week with 131,140 ZING and finished it with 137,554. Made 6,414 ZING this week, and I need an average of 1,952 ZING weekly to achieve this goal. I'll very likely reach 200k sooner than the end of the year. I'll think of a higher/different target then, related to Holozing.

This cycle makes you rethink your every decisions, especially because every pump or dump will make you have doubts in your strategy. For me, I see no reason holding HBD again, it's either we dump or pump, and we've seen the worst of dump in April already.

However, yes. HBD is better at the peg than DEC

Yeah, HIVE didn't go much higher since April, but other coins did. While I don't say it can't go much higher from here right away (it might very well do and I'd be happy if it would), it also can go sideways or in the red over summer, in which case, HBD in savings is better.

Indeed, you're right. I haven't considered that metric. I was only trying to play the "a man who is spending fears no fall" card.

I'm getting big zing rewards boost since the recent change on distribution tough

We have to make a profit from the market within the next six months and then we must go on a trip because after a long time we will make this profit. If you also do not take profit, then the coming life will once again be full of troubles.

That is true. I wouldn't want another cycle of hodling because I didn't take profit (not because I chose to).

Great job on your goals. I think its a good idea to have the DEC changed into HBD. There is a soft peg ofr DEC, but its just not as safe as HBD.

I think its a good idea to have the DEC changed into HBD. There is a soft peg ofr DEC, but its just not as safe as HBD.

That's probably the better approach for a medium term, particularly since Splinterlands pools are no longer incentivized (other than from fees).

Great job on your goals.

Thanks. Slowly getting there, except the HBD one which will very likely be a sudden one.
