Warm evening in Pobedy Avenue

On this warm May evening, something strange came over me: I wanted to capture almost every person on Pobedy Avenue in Vologda. At such a time, young people go out for a walk and it turned out to be like a fashion show.

Young people, boys, girls – everyone wears their best, or at least neat, fashionable, and attractive, for a walk.

These pictures will absolutely reflect the era and fashion.

It seemed to me that it was very important to capture as many people, companies, movements and emotions as possible.

If I had taken a picture at the same time in the same place about fifteen years ago, it would be interesting to see now how people dressed back then.

Reportage photography has interesting tasks.: to film and show what is happening now, and years later to show how it was.

And you need to capture it, and you also need to be able to save it properly for many years to come.

So that you can show it later.

Who, if not you? Every city has a photographer who documents everything en masse.

I call them duty photographers. Perhaps I am like that in Vologda too.

We need such people, they absorb everything around us like a sponge, and then with the help of their pictures, we study history.

Who were those people who took pictures on film in the 50s or 70s?

They were restless photographers like me, who were interested in everything around them.

And they didn't even know how valuable their prints or scans were now..

...It's been 15 years since I first picked up a digital SLR camera. (accentuate, digital)

And that's enough time to appreciate the change of era, fashion, and time...

I took a lot of pictures and deleted a lot...

And now I'm wondering once again whether or not to delete any picture, whether it will mean something to me in 15 years....for other people.

I need to review my archive from 2010!

It turned out to be a voluminous post.

All this is not only to show, but also to save.

Roughly speaking, the blockchain is a kind of cloud.
