Question:
Do you see yourself as more motivated by passion, profit, or independence?
Answer:
I'm definitely the person who is motivated by passion. It's not that I'm unwilling to try other things, but I tend to do things I'm passionate about more, whether it's in my hobbies or even my job. Let me share some examples...

Recently, I've been into brewing my own coffee at home. I've always been into drinking coffee, though at first, we usually have instant ones at home. Then, I accidentally purchased coffee beans instead of the ground ones. This led me to decide to explore.
I purchased a coffee grinder at first, and found it really fun. It's a new hobby! Then, a fellow Hiver suggested I buy either a French Press or a Moka Pot, since I was only brewing through dripping.
I followed her advice and got myself a French Press... and now, I've been enjoying brewing coffee almost every day, and even experimenting with it. I even asked for coffee beans as a souvenir instead of the usual snacks, and so on.
Another thing I'm passionate about is writing. I am the kind of person who can better express myself through writing my heart out. My passion for it plays a role in why I continued blogging on HIVE.
Although the monetary rewards are a huge bonus, without my passion for writing and sharing my thoughts, as well as other things I love, I wouldn't be able to survive for a long time on such a platform.

My passion for writing and sharing what I love also gave me the motivation to keep going. I enjoy painting, anime, photography, and a bunch of other things. And I'm able to keep doing so because I love and enjoy them.

The same motivation, driven by passion, is applicable in my job. I had never once thought of becoming a teacher, but when I got the opportunity to start, I just couldn't stop. It has become something that I'm genuinely passionate about.
I've been teaching English online at my current company for over 10 years, and I don't see myself stopping anytime soon.
Once, a student asked me if I'd ever stop teaching on the platform. I told him I'd continue as long as students book my class, and he replied he'd take my lessons forever. hahaha

In addition to motivation driven by passion, I also find motivation in my students' feedback. Reading their comments on my page, and even when they show their gratitude to me in class. Every time I see them enjoy learning from my classes, I feel even more motivated to keep going and help them in the best way I can. I guess that's what you call passion, too, right? haha
Motivation by profit and independence are also positive qualities... it doesn't matter much where the motivation came from as long as it leads you to your goal.
However, among them, passion is the strongest fuel that drives me to my destination. :)
That's all for this post. Thanks a lot for reading, and I'll see you around! (^^,)/
