Nature is surprising in many ways. I just realized that only young ones have the spotted hide, so it disappears in adulthood. I've never given it much thought until now.
Yeah, the spots really help with the camouflage when they are bedded down and mom goes off for a bit.
That makes sense. Little ones could be easy snacks for predators.
Geez, do they stay that close to the houses? It's something totally different from here in Brazil, you see cats, dogs, some birds, but animals like this are very different haha
Yep, the ones that choose to live in town are fairly tame and use to people being around. Out of town where I live they are a little more wild and you probably couldn't get this close. And of course in the forest and open desert you can't get within a 100 feet of them. :)
