Las aventuras de Supay_sueño cumplido_Luis Castellanos || The Supay Adventures_dream fulfilled

Cada vez que tejo a Supay, siento una emoción enorme porque sé que estará muy bien en su nuevo hogar. Además, este llavero tiene un significado enorme...va mucho más allá de la Danza de la Diablada.

Every time I make Supay, I feel a huge rush of emotion because I know he will be very happy in his new home. Also, this keychain has enormous significance...it goes far beyond the Diablada dance.

Esta vez utilicé un Supay que tenía algo avanzado. Por ejemplo, ya tenía una ceja (ceja derecha). Al momento de coserle la otra ceja, ví que mi forma de coser había mejorado (ceja izquierda). Para mí este detalle es notorio y lo considero un gran avance.

This time I used a Supay that was somewhat advanced. For example, it already had one eyebrow (right eyebrow). When I sewed on the other eyebrow, I saw that my sewing had improved (left eyebrow). For me, this detail is noticeable, and I consider it a great step forward.

Recuerdo que este Supay estaba inconcluso porque se me había terminado el hilo de bordar amarillo para bordar sus garras del rostro. Eso es parte importante del personaje, porque transmite que es un ser con comportaminto felino...Y sin el bordado de las garritas, ya perdería parte de su identidad.

I remember that this Supay was unfinished because I had run out of yellow embroidery thread to embroider his claws on his face. That's an important part of the character, because it conveys that he is a being with feline behavior... And without the embroidered claws, he would lose part of his identity.

Solo quedaba agregarle las plumas de su cabeza, la argolla del llavero y estaría listo. Este es uno de los Supay más populares. Aunque, cada uno puede ponerle los colores que quiera... Le pongo muchos colores, porque así es como veo la vida, llena de oportunidades.

All that remained was to add the feathers to its head and the key chain ring, and it would be ready. This is one of the most popular Supays. Although, everyone can use whatever colors they want... I use lots of colors, because that's how I see life, full of opportunities.

Este fin de semana asistí a un Taller dictado por Luis Castellanos. Esto fue en el Museo de Arte Comtemporáneo o MAC. Luis nos enseñó la técnica del Carboncillo. Hizo un rostro en minutos. Él es una de esas personas a quienes admiro y quería conocerlo en persona. Al finalizar la clase le entregué a Supay y se alegró bastante, jaja.

Speaking of opportunities...
This weekend I attended a workshop given by Luis Castellanos. This was at the Museum of Contemporary Art or MAC. Luis taught us the charcoal technique. He drew a face in minutes. He is one of those people I admire, and I wanted to meet him in person. At the end of the class, I gave him Supay, and he was very happy, jaja.
