Very good morning my dear readers, happy Sunday to all of you and I hope you are having a great weekend of relax and rest, and I take this opportunity to congratulate fathers today for Father's Day, at least here in my country; your friend Manuel greets you as always and I am very happy to share with you a new artistic post for my blog.
This time I wanted to say goodbye to my week bringing you an illustration in which I was working the last 2 days, it is an adaptation of the creature (Miu Miu) of the game #Holozing to a semi humanized style; in this case I focused on giving it a half cat and half human appearance balanced enough so you can easily recognize which creature of the game it is... and well, here below I will show you a little of the creation process and I hope you like it:
Muy buenos días mis queridos lectores y lectoras, feliz domingo para todos y espero se encuentren pasando un grandioso fin de semana de relax y descanso, y aprovecho para felicitar a los padres hoy por el día del padre, al menos aquí en mi país; por aquí los saluda como siempre su amigo Manuel super feliz de poder compartirles un nuevo post artístico para mi blog.
En esta ocasión quise despedir mi semana trayéndoles una ilustración en la que estuve trabajando los últimos 2 días, se trata de una adaptación de la criatura (Miu Miu) del juego #Holozing a un estilo semi humanizado; en este caso me enfoque en darle una apariencia mitad gato y mitad humana lo suficientemente balanceada para que se pueda reconocer fácilmente de que criatura del juego se trata… y bueno, aquí abajo les mostrare un poco del proceso de creación y espero les guste:

In the case of the main sketch I intended to give it a very feminine and stylized look that would highlight the feline features of the animal part of the character, that's why I opted for a more portrait style work where I could pay special attention to small details such as fur, cat ears and so on. I decided to start as usual in most of my works by coloring a little the skin of the character, and in this case I preferred to use more peach and red tones, I started giving a little texture to the skin mixing airbrush and watercolor in equal parts, and then with the same watercolor brush I was in charge of mixing and softening the skin enough to make it look realistic, and then I could apply the airbrush again, but this time to print blush and warmth to the face.
En el caso del boceto principal me propuse darle una apariencia bastante femenina y estilizada que resaltara los rasgos felinos de la parte animal de el personaje, es por ello que opté por una obra mas a estilo retrato donde pudiera poner especial atención a los pequeños detalles como el pelaje, las orejas de gato y demás. Decidí empezar como es de costumbre en la mayoría de mis obras coloreando un poco la piel del personaje, y en este caso preferí usar tonos mas duraznos y rojos, empecé dándole un poco de textura a la piel mezclando el aerógrafo y la acuarela a partes iguales, y luego con el mismo pincel de acuarela me encargué de mezclar y suavizar la piel lo suficiente como para que se viese realista, y ya allí pude aplicar el aerógrafo nuevamente, pero esta vez para imprimir rubor y calidez al rostro.
In the 2nd stage of the painting I moved to what would be the construction of the expression on the face of the character, as the creature (Miu Miu) is a kind of grumpy cat I wanted to convey a somewhat similar personality, then with gray and green tones I created some big feline eyes staring into the distance; and in the case of the mouth I used tones more similar to those of the skin and with gray I placed 2 small but sharp cat fangs. For the penado if I improvised, since cats don't have hairstyle hehehehehe, then looking in my palette of colors some gray and pale violet tones I built a hair a little long but gathered with a bun behind his head, and with my bristle brush I left some strands of hair loose in the front area and around the face.
En la 2da etapa del pintado me pase a lo que seria la construcción de la expresión en el rostro del personaje, como la criatura (Miu Miu) es una especie de gato malhumorado pues yo quise transmitir una personalidad un poco similar, entonces con tonos grises y verdes cree unos grandes ojos de felino mirando fijamente hacia la distancia; y en el caso de la boca use ya tonos mas similares a los de la piel y con grises coloque 2 pequeños pero afilados colmillos de gato. Para el penado si improvise ya los gatos no tiene peinado jejejeje, entonces buscando en mi paleta de colores algunos tonos grises y violetas pálidos construir una cabellera un poco larga pero recogida con un moño detrás de su cabeza, y con mi pincel de cerdas deje algunos mechones de pelo sueltos en la zona frontal y alrededor del rostro.
In the case of the clothes I also improvised a little and let my inspiration guide me, in the case of the torso I created an elegant and sensual blouse with lilac and gray tones similar to the fur of the original creature; then in the neck and arms area I created a second texture that resembled the fur of the cat's tail, for this I used the same brushes that I had used for the hair, only here I made more elongated and irregular strokes so that they looked like real animal fur. For the background my idea was simple, create a night forest, for this I degraded a little the background with blues and greens for the floor below the character, then I took a brush of leaves and started to populate the whole environment with some bushes and trees that gave sense to the scenery; finally I created some vegetation and grass and created some lighting coming from the background.
En el caso de la ropa también improvise un poco y deje que mi inspiración me guiara, en el caso del torso le cree una blusa elegante y sensual con tonos lila y grises similares los del pelaje de la criatura original; luego en la zona del cuello y brazos cree una 2da textura aparte que se asemejara al pelaje de la cola del gato, para esto use los mismos pinceles que había usado para el cabello, solo que aquí realice trazos mas alargados e irregulares de modo que se viesen como pelaje animal real. Ya para el fondo mi idea fue simple, crear un bosque nocturno, para esto degrade un poco el background con azules y verdes para el piso debajo del personaje, luego tome un pincel de hojas y comencé a poblar todo el entorne con algunos arbustos y arboles que dieran sentido al escenario; finalmente cree un poco de vegetación y pasto y cree un poco de iluminación proveniente desde el fondo.
