Today I invite you to view this selection of my street photographs taken on foggy mornings. This is a series of photos created under a specific premise: vertical cropping in a 3:4 aspect ratio, and color-focused processing and editing. Throughout this process, I applied a number of specific adjustments to each photo, depending, of course, on the character I found in each image. You know that my photography work is rather modest, but I take it very seriously to do it in the most artisanal way possible. That's why I shoot in RAW and then process each photo manually, without using presets or anything like that. I simply take a photo and try to bring out the best in it step by step until I arrive at a result I like. So, just as I'm describing, these photos ended up here to be shared with you on #Hive. I hope you enjoy them...

Hoy los invito a ver esta selección de mis fotografías callejeras hechas durante mañanas con niebla. Esta es una serie de fotos trabajada bajo una premisa que comprende: Recorte vertical proporción 3:4, procesamiento y edición orientado a colores. En todo esto me dediqué a aplicar un montón de ajustes particulares a cada foto, dependiendo obviamente del carácter que encontré en cada imagen. Ustedes saben que mi trabajo fotográfico es más bien humilde, pero me tomo muy en serio hacerlo de la manera "más artesanal posible", y es debido a eso que hago todas mis capturas en RAW y luego voy foto a foto procesando manualmente y sin usar pre-sets ni nada por el estilo. Simplemente tomo una foto y voy intentando sacar lo mejor de ella paso a paso hasta encontrarme frente a frente con un resultado que me guste. Así, tal como les estoy narrando, estas fotos terminaron aquí para ser compartidas con ustedes en #Hive, espero que les gusten...

Photographing in the early morning hours on streets shrouded in dense fog is always a challenging endeavor. Besides the low light, things like sharpness and color temperature become capricious challenges. Sometimes the colors look like watercolors, other times they're too dark or even dull. But being able to manage all these factors and bring these photos to a level where they convey what it's like to stand on my streets when the fog seems intent on engulfing everything is something I always enjoy.

Fotografiar desde muy temprano en a mañana en calles con niebla muy densa, es siempre algo relativamente desafiante. Además de la cuestión de la luminosidad baja, también cosas como la nitidez y la temperatura de los colores se convierten en desafíos caprichosos. En ocasiones los tonos de color parecen sacados de acuarelas, otras veces por el contrario, son demasiado obscuros o incluso pueden parece mustios. Pero poder manejar todos estos factores y poder llevar estas fotos a un nivel en el que ellas transmitan como es estar parado en mis calles cuando la niebla parece querer cubrirlo todo; es algo que siempre disfruto hacer...

Quite apart from the theme of this photo series, lately I've been trying to practice my editing techniques differently and more frequently. Because of this, in these photos I've applied additional level adjustments and even layers (once in JPG format) of white, blue, and yellow muting at varying percentages. I think this has helped me better achieve what I mentioned earlier: "making the fog look like it is"...

Muy aparte de la temática esta serie fotográfica, últimamente estoy procurando ejercitar de manera diferente y con más frecuencia mis técnicas de edición. Entonces y debido a esto, en estas fotos he aplicado pasos adicionales de ajustes de niveles e incluso capas de atenuación (ya sobre los JPG) de blancos, azules y amarillos en diversos porcentajes. Creo que esto me ha servido para hacer mejor eso a lo cual me referí previamente "que la niebla se vea como es"...

They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7}
