I faced off against SLBB_COMPARATIVERINK in a Modern format match. My team was a balanced mix of tanks and damage dealers, ready to take on whatever they threw at me. Here’s a quick look at my lineup:
Frontline Tank: A beefy monster with 5 attack and 12 health, soaking up damage like a champ.
Midfield Support: Units with 4 attack/2 health and 3 attack/3 health, providing steady damage.
Backline DPS: A high-health brawler (7 attack/8 health) and a ranged attacker (4 attack/4 health) to finish the job.
I had 2 tactics to choose from, which gave me some strategic flexibility. My opponent, SLBB_COMPARATIVERINK, had no guild and seemed to struggle against my setup.
The Result: Victory! 🏅

A few things tipped the scales in my favor:
Team Balance: My high-health tank in the front absorbed a ton of damage, while my backline units dealt consistent damage. Positioning is everything in Splinterlands!
Tactics Advantage: Having 2 tactics to choose from let me adapt to the battle. I likely used a buff or debuff to gain the upper hand.
Modern Format Fit: My deck was optimized for the Modern format, using newer cards that synergized well.
My opponent might have struggled with mana management or lacked synergy with their summoner. Not having a guild also means they missed out on potential bonuses—guilds can really make a difference!
Rewards Breakdown
The rewards from this battle were pretty sweet:
Modern Points (+20): These points are key for climbing ranks in the Modern format. Higher ranks mean better chests and more SPS tokens, so I’m stoked to keep pushing.
Glint (33): Earning 33 Glint at Stage 30 is a nice chunk. I’m saving up to grab some new card packs or maybe a potion to boost my deck.
For context, players in lower ranks like Bronze might only earn 10-15 DEC per win, so 33 Glint plus Modern points is a great return for a single match.
