Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Yay I Topped The Guild!

Time flies! Just completed the 238th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

Moving Back To Bronze Fray

Had 6 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

We Got 6th!!!

So for the final result, we were 6th out of 8 guilds and got 500 Merits and around 17 SPS! A good bag of SPS! Who knows how much one SPS would go to in this market?

Individually, I had 6 fights this time and I won 5 of them this time! Finished 1st within the guild. Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there was 1 additional win for me.

Battle 1 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: None

I thought I fielded a good lineup for this Earthquake battle, filled with Flying cards and those with Martyr boosts. But they were still unable to fight against Quora Towershead. Oh well.

Battle 2 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Captain Katie

Many big cards in this clash of Life lineups! I thought I was not going to make it at some point but Captain Katie managed to turn the battle 180 degrees around and we managed to get a surprise win from this!

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Gorth

We won a team with Quora Towershead!!! Gladius cards are the MVPs this brawl so far as Gorth turned in an impressive performance in this one. Even up against a lineup filled with Quora Towershead and two healers, my team kept the damage output going strong and we did it!

Battle 4 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

The wins might be coming one after another but this was another hard fought win. Drybone Barbarian was a tough tank to handle but my team did their best and worked well (even the 1 mana cards!) and thanks for Riftwing, which has Scavenge ability, this bought us a lot of time and Cursed Windeku eventually edged out this win!

Battle 5 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

We were faced with the 3rd Quora Towershead out of 5 battles so far in this brawl. Amazingly, the team did extremely well and Kulu Mastermind's first Opportunity hit to take out the opposing Katrelba Gobson was definitely one of the key moves. Another exciting and close battle and definitely fortunate and satisfying at the same time to be on the winning side!

Battle 6 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Larissa Kerato

How does Fire fare against Water? Both teams made use of Larissa Kerato but my Delwyn Dragonscale made the difference with the extra +1 Magic boost. This meant that my Larissa Kerato could deal 6 damage per round instead of 4, and it was faster to get the Bloodlust going that way. Nice win to round up this brawl.

So that sums up my 6 battles for this brawl! 83% win rate this time, definitely one of my best performing result in recent times and I topped the guild! Brawls are getting so competitive lately, especially with the "spamming" of Quora Towershead, a card which I don't have till now, this result is definitely a confidence booster for me! Let's keep fighting PIZZA 2!
