Estoy contento de que estemos en la época más linda del año, diciembre, un mes de armonía, magia y mucho brillo, muchas decoraciones hermosas y creativas que alegran el ambiente; todos nos emocionamos y dejamos volar la imaginación. La plataforma no es la excepción, veo que en muchas comunidades se van llenando de esa magia decembrina, lo que me agrada mucho porque amo esta época del año que me hace feliz, por lo que no podía quedarme atrás sin crear algo referente a la temporada. Así que, quise darle continuidad a mis dibujos en píxeles porque me siento muy bien trabajando en ello. Hoy traigo para compartir, uno muy clásico de esta época, al que todos amamos porque es símbolo de regalos: se trata de Santa Claus.

So, I wanted to give continuity to my pixel drawings because I feel very good working on it. Today I bring to share, a very classic one of this season, the one we all love because he is a symbol of gifts: it is Santa Claus.

Paso a paso/Step by step

Mi dibujo, como dije antes, es un clásico que muestra a un Santa Claus con un regalo en mano. El boceto, como pueden observar, inició en lápiz de grafito; luego lo repasé con color punta fina negro para colorearlo. En este caso, el siguiente color fue el azul claro, que usé principalmente como sombra en algunas zonas que se dejan en blanco, con el fin de crear un efecto más llamativo. Después continué con el color rojo y, por último, el amarillo, que está en la hebilla del cinturón.

My drawing, as I said before, is a classic one showing a Santa Claus with a present in hand. The sketch, as you can see, started in graphite pencil; then I went over it with black fine point color to color it. In this case, the next color was light blue, which I used mainly as a shadow in some areas left white, in order to create a more striking effect. Then I continued with red and finally yellow, which is on the belt buckle.

Este dibujo me llevó cuatro horas de trabajo a pesar de ser muy sencillo. El detalle de trabajar en píxel es que hay que ser muy cuidadosos al inicio, ya que se debe cuadrar muy bien el cuadro de comienzo para que el dibujo no quede todo a un lado o falte espacio para los cuadros. Por ello, hay que ser pacientes al trabajar con esta técnica. Lo bueno es que con ella nos olvidamos de lo que sucede a nuestro alrededor, ya que estamos muy concentrados.

This drawing took me four hours of work even though it is very simple. The detail of working in pixel is that you have to be very careful at the beginning, since you have to square very well the starting frame so that the drawing is not all to one side or lack of space for the frames. Therefore, we must be patient when working with this technique. The good thing is that with it we forget what is happening around us, since we are very concentrated.
