Hoy les quiero mostrar una obra que realicé con acuarelas y lápices de colores. Fue muy divertida de realizar, ya que di rienda suelta a la imaginación y poco a poco fue saliendo y terminó en esta obra que les comparto.
A continuación les mostraré paso a paso como fui realizando cada etapa.

Primero marqué con lapiz de dibujo en la cartulina un boceto breve de la figura humana que sería el centro de la obra para que me sirviera de guía a la hora de usar la acuarela.

Así quedó cuando di las primeras capas de acuarela sobre la figura humana. Como pueden ver el formato de la obra es pequeño así que utilicé un pincel número 1 para trabajar.

Luego empecé a trabajar el fondo. Con un pincel más grueso hice trazos ondulados que dieran la sensación de agua.

Y cuando la acuarela estuvo seca, empecé a utilizar los lápices de color para definir ciertas zonas de sombras, algunas mediasombras y tonalidades que le dieron volumen a la figura.

Terminada la figura central.

Con acuarela y el pincel fino hice trazos a modo de dibujo con plumilla. Peces, tentáculos y olas rodean a la mujer que flota en el agua, como suspendida, acurrucada en su medio marino.

Como ven es una obra de pequeño formato, con tonalidades frías y cálidas. Con toques de sienas, naranjas, rojos y amarillos en los peces y azules y verdes en la figura.

Today I want to show you a piece I made with watercolors and colored pencils. It was a lot of fun to create, as I let my imagination run wild, and little by little, it emerged, resulting in this piece I'm sharing with you. Below, I'll show you step by step how I completed each step.

First, I used a drawing pencil on the cardboard to mark a brief sketch of the human figure that would be the center of the piece to serve as a guide when using the watercolor.

This is how it looked when I applied the first layers of watercolor to the human figure. As you can see, the size of the piece is small, so I used a brush n°1 to work with.

Then I started working on the background. With a thicker brush, I made wavy strokes to give the impression of water.

And when the watercolor was dry, I began using colored pencils to define certain shadow areas, some mid-shadows, and tones that gave volume to the figure.

The central figure was finished.

I used watercolor and a fine brush to create strokes resembling a pen-and-pen drawing. Fish, tentacles, and waves surround the woman who floats in the water, as if suspended, nestled in her marine environment.

As you can see, it's a small-format work with cool and warm tones. With touches of siennas, oranges, reds, and yellows in the fish, and blues and greens in the figure.
