In my weekly search for free games worth playing for a couple of hours, I hadn't found much apart from the classic Epic Games gift, which I'll be breaking down in another post. This time, I was out with a friend when out of nowhere I saw him playing a shooter, in third-person, the way I like it, and with a galactic theme that I absolutely love.

I didn't have any games of this style on my radar, much less one that was online and had been on the market for over a decade without making much noise on Steam. When I said I didn't know about it, he probably died inside because after investigating, I realized that this It's been quite popular on Steam since its launch.

WARFRAME

The game is as simple as a multiplayer shooter where two teams shoot each other to the head. The theme behind it is that we're facing an alien race that uses exoskeletons to enhance their abilities, and this gives the game an excuse to implement improvements to our characters.

I asked to play it for a while on my friend's PC, and as soon as I picked up the controls, I felt like I was playing one of those shooters that were popular in the middle of the last decade. The controls are good, though not exquisite, somewhat mechanical, but the aiming and the feel of the weapons make up for it quite a bit. I don't think it feels like an old video game per se.

There's a lot of parkour movement, double jumps, and the levels are pretty well designed for us to make use of these abilities while we duel. We'll also have a whole menu at the beginning to customize our hunter. Although the game has microtransactions and I found it a bit pay-to-win at first, I think it's well-balanced.

What surprised me most about my short The thing about playing it is that you get a match pretty quickly. It has several game modes, but of course, I only play the one where we kill everyone as a team.

It's not a video game where competitiveness is crucial, so I'd venture to say that if you're a casual player, you might find yourself very comfortable with the controls after just a few minutes of playing it. That doesn't mean it's going to be easy. There are some very experienced players here. Remember, this game is 10 years old, and although it's been updated in many ways, the mechanics remain the same.

In addition to having the most important thing that an online multiplayer video game should have: constant updates. Although not as constant as Fortnite, they do have them, more than I'm used to seeing, especially in a video game that I just discovered 5 minutes ago.

I'll definitely come back again, but first I'll have to see if my home PC can handle this type of graphics. They've done a great job keeping it updated for Unreal Engine 5, which is appreciated, and that's why I'm going to recommend it here for those who only have Steam and want a better experience. multiplayer

En mi busqueda semanal por juegos gratis que valgan la pena jugar por un par de horas no habia encontrado demasiado aparte del clasico regalo de Epic Games que estaré desglosando en otro post, esta vez estaba fuera de casa con un amigo cuando de la nada lo veo jugando un shooter, en tercera persona como me gustan a mi y con tematica galactica que a mi me encanta por todos lados

No tenia ningun juego en mi radar de este estilo, menos uno que fuese online y tuviese mas de una decada en el mercado sin hacer demasiado ruido en Steam, cuando dije que no lo conocia probablemente el se habra muerto por dentro porque investigando me he dado cuenta de que este es bastante popular en steam desde su lanzamiento

WARFRAME

El juego es tan sencillo como un shooter multijugador en donde dos equipos se alcanzan las cabezas a balazos, la tematica detras es que estamos ante una raza alien que usa los exoesqueletos para mejorar sus habilidades y esto le da una excusa al juego para implementar mejoras a nuestros personajes

Pedi jugarlo un rato en la pc de mi amigo y nada mas agarrar los controles sentia que estaba jugando un shooter de esos que estaban populares a mediados de la decada pasada, buenos controles aunque no exquisitos, algo mecanicos pero el apuntado y como se sienten las armas compensa bastante esto ademas que no pienso que se sienta como un videojuego viejo per se

Hay mucho movimiento de parkour, dobles saltos y los niveles estan bastante diseñados para que hagamos uso de estas habilidades mientras nos batimos en duelo, tambien en el comienzo tendremos todo un menu para personalizar a nuestro cazador y aunque el juego tiene microtransacciones y se me hizo algo pay to win al inicio creo que esta bien balanceado

Lo que mas me sorprendio de mi corta estadia jugandolo es que se consigue partida bastante rapido, tiene varios modos de juego pero por supuesto yo solo juego ese en donde nos matamos a todos en equipo

No es un videojuego en donde lo competitivo sea crucial por lo que me atreveria a decir que si eres casual puedes encontrarte muy comodo con los controles a unos pocos minutos de haberlo jugado, eso no quiere decir que vaya a ser facil, aca hay algunos jugadores muy experimentados, recordemos que este juego tiene 10 años y aunque se ha visto actualizado en muchos aspectos las mecanicas siguen siendo las mismas

Ademas de tener lo mas importante que debe tener un videojuego online multijugador, actualizaciones constantes, y aunque no tan constantes como fortnite si que las tienen, mas de las que acostumbro ver sobretodo en un videojuego que acabo de conocer hace 5 minutos,

Definitivamente voy a volver otra vez pero primero tengo que ver si mi pc en casa puede soportar este tipo de graficos, han hecho un trabajo importante manteniendolo actualizado para el Unreal Engine 5 cosa que se agradece y es por eso que voy a recomendarlo por aca para aquellos que tengan steam muy solo y quieran tener una experiencia multijugador
