Hi there. I do a Pokemon TCG deck profile of a Mega Sharpedo ex deck.
This deck is not super popular as it is competitive but not enough to win large tournaments in the Phantasmal Flames era. The core cards are inexpensive which makes this deck a good budget deck or a good entry deck for a new player.
Note: This post is long.

Mega Sharpedo ex & Toxtricity Core Cards
Mega Sharpedo ex is a Stage 1 Evolution that evolves from Carvanha. This is a beatstick attacker with 330 HP, a zero retreat cost and 2 good attacks.
The Greedy Fang attack requires 1 Dark Energy to deal 70 damage and you draw 2 cards. This is pretty good as a lot of Basic Pokemon are 70 HP or less.
The Hungry Jaws attack requires 2 Dark Energy to deal 120 base damage. If this Mega Sharpedo ex has any damage counters on it, then this attack does 150 more damage (270 damage).
Toxtricity provides good Dark Energy acceleration from the deck to your Benched Dark Pokemon. The drawback is that you deal 20 damage to the Dark Pokemon that gains the Dark Energy. This drawback is not that bad for powering up Mega Sharpedo ex.
Support Cards & Other Attackers
Gravity Mountain Stadium
Gravity Mountain is a simple stadium card that has a powerful effect. Stage 2 Pokemon in play on both sides get minus 30 HP.
If you do not run Stage 2 Pokemon and are up against them, Gravity Mountain helps with hitting key numbers. This goes well with Mega Sharpedo ex's 270 damage.
Munkidori
As Toxtricity deals damage to a Dark Pokemon in exchange of more Dark Energy, it makes sense to use Munkidori. Munkidori may be considered the best card in the metagame. With a Dark Energy you transfer damage from one of your damaged Pokemon to an opponent's Pokemon (up to 30 damage per turn per Munkidori). You heal and deal damage before your attack. Pretty powerful.
Pecharunt ex
Pecharunt ex is used mostly as a support and utility Pokemon. With Pecharunt ex in play you can switch any Dark Pokemon into the Active Spot but it becomes Poisoned. Pecharunt ex's strong use case is to switch out a non-attacking Pokemon with a Dark attacking Pokemon.
This Pecharunt ex on its own is a good attacker in the late game. Irritated Outburst deals 60 damage times the number of Prize cards your opponent has taken.
Air Balloon
Air Balloon is a useful Tool card that reduces the retreat cost of a Pokemon that this is attached to by 2.
Binding Mochi
Binding Mochi is a Tool card dedicated for Poisoned Pokemon. A Poisoned Pokemon with Binding Mochi gains +40 more damage in its attack to the opponent's Active Pokemon. This goes well with a Dark Pokemon attack and Pecharunt ex even though the use case is niche.

This list seems pretty straightforward. You have your Carvanha and Mega Sharpedo evolution line at 3-3. For the Toxtricity line, it is 3 Toxel and 2 Toxtricity.
There is a Yveltal for retreat locking and for buying extra turns, one Seviper as an alternate attacker and 1 Purrloin for setup purposes.

7 Darkness Energy MEE 7

This Toxtricity build is a little bit different. The Mega Sharpedo ex evolution line is a little more greedy at 2 Carvanha and 2 Mega Sharpedo ex. I would think 3-3 is better just in case one or even both Mega Sharpedo ex are Prized.
This build does run 2 Super Rod instead of one and 7 Dark Energy instead of 9. There is also a Tasugiri for a greater chance of finding a Supporter and one Psyduck as partial protection against Dusclops and Dusknoir.
Instead of Seviper this list uses this Brute Bonnet instead. Arven is used instead of Professor's Research.
Advantages
Type Advantage Over Psychic Pokemon & Gardevoir ex
With Gardevoir ex being popular in the metagame, having a type advantage over Gardevoir ex helps a bit. As Gardevoir ex and its Psychic attackers are mainly weak to Dark, Mega Sharpedo ex does have an advantage. The only Psychic attacker that is not weak to Dark is Mega Diancie ex. Do be mindful of this.
Core Cards Fairly Inexpensive
Mega Sharpedo ex should be fairly inexpensive. It is not a popular card so the price should be at around 2 CAD or maybe 3 CAD per copy.
Toxtricity and Toxel cards should be fairly cheap too.
Toxtricity Engine Is Very Good
Toxtricity is really good for powering up Dark attackers. Dark attackers that need 2 or 3 Energy for its attack are greatly supported by 1 or 2 Toxtricity in play.
Munkidori Abuse
Since Toxtricity deals damage to your own Dark Pokemon when you add Dark Energy, it makes sense to include Munkidori. Munkidori with a Dark Energy can transfer up to 30 damage from 1 of your damaged Pokemon to any 1 of your opponent's Pokemon.
Do watch out for Battle Cage. With Battle Cage in play, you can only transfer damage to the opponent's Active Pokemon.
Disadvantages
Grass Weakness
Mega Sharpedo ex does have Grass weakness. Watch out for Grass attackers like Teal Mask Ogerpon ex, Iron Leaves ex (rarely seen) and Mega Venusaur ex.
Mega Pokemon Give Up 3 Prizes When Knocked Out
As powerful as Mega Sharpedo ex is for a Stage 1 Mega Pokemon ex, you have to be careful when using it. If it is Knocked Out, then the opponent gains 3 Prize Cards out of 6.
Not Enough Firepower Against Other Mega Pokemon
Dealing 270 damage from Mega Sharpedo ex is pretty good. However 270 damage may not be enough against bulkier Pokemon with 300+ HP and some Mega Pokemon with more than 300 HP.
Instead of ACE SPEC Hero's Cape, Maximum Belt could be better if you favour bigger knockouts.
Lack of Draw Support Outside Fezandipiti ex
The Toxtricity engine is pretty good but the Mega Sharpedo ex deck does not really have a draw engine. Not having a draw engine makes this deck vulnerable to late game hand disruption from Iono.
Having Fezandipiti ex helps somewhat but a Knockout is needed to trigger drawing 3 cards. Fezandpiti ex is usually a target for the opponent when they want to get 2 Prize Cards.
Notes
There was some hype for this deck when Mega Sharpedo ex came out. It was later found out that the deck is not that good as it lacks firepower against some matchups. It also lacks draw power outside of Fezandipiti ex.
As this deck is not too popular, the core cards are not too expensive. Building this deck should not be too difficult.
This deck is an okay deck to start out with and it may get better when the G regulation cards go away when rotation arrives at around April 2026 (estimation). Iono as hand disruption would be out of the standard format.
