The Fate of Super Earth

When the Illuminate somehow harnessed dark energy to move the Meridian Singularity toward Super Earth, many planets were destroyed along the path. We stopped it in the nick of time, but they used it as a wormhole to launch a massive fleet close to our home.

We tried to hold them back along a series of barrier planets, but they just kept pushing through. With mere hours to spare, we failed to halt their advance, but we blunted the attack.

Finally, they made it to Super Earth, the center of Managed Democracy, and the cradle of humanity. There, in the mega cities, we fought them in the streets. We did our best to protect civilians. We fought alongside our Super Earth Armed Forces (SEAF) allies for the first time since this war began. We stopped their invasion fleets. We shot down their overships. Our president died fighting them, pistol in hand.

In the end, their resources faltering, we still held two cities despite their relentless onslaught. At last, they were forced into retreat. We have victory!

Ivis (seen above), Moradesh, and Angel's Venture may have been destroyed. Meridia may have become a black hole. But Super Earth stands. Managed Democracy is triumphant. We sent those squids back to whatever hole they crawled from, fleeing in terror.

We turned the Automatons into scrap metal to rebuild the Democracy Space Station. We kept the Terminids from invading a world where our scientists developed tools to sabotage Illuminate communications, and we'll keep killing those bugs to ensure Element 710 flows forever. Humanity has triumphed, and will triumph eternal!

And there's no way the next update will reveal we overlooked some deeper and more nefarious purpose, right? RIGHT? If those blue bastards left something behind to turn Super Earth inside-out, there will be hell to pay.

I've been thinking about finally pulling the trigger and getting this. It is on special and my friends who play it absolutely love it. I just fear a toxic online community but whatever. I'll give it a try

Well, it's not as good a community as Fallout 76, but I've had better luck than I expected with public matches, and if you join friends, it's pretty good. There are bugs, and I don't just mean Terminids, but I have been impressed with how the devs handle it all.
