Workplace - Week 20

in HiveGardenlast month (edited)

Well, I don't really have much greenery at my workplace.
I had a plum tree and a birch tree in the yard of the shop.
My company rents this shop and we have the right to use the yard, since the shop has two entrances, from two streets.

The neighbor across the street complained to the owner of the property that leaves from the trees were falling into his improvised swimming pool.
And the owner of the property decided to cut down those two trees.
I couldn't talk him out of it, even though he only comes here occasionally, to mow the grass in the yard behind.
So in that back yard I have a weak lawn.
But there are also some wild flowers.

The main entrance faces one of the main access streets to Novi Sad.
Two lanes of the road for entry and two lanes for exit.
But I'm glad that the city green space, in conjunction with the designers, created a green island between those lanes.
The green island stretches for about two kilometers.
This year's drought has certainly affected the plants on the island.
I would like to see more of these green islands around the city.
Because these green islands can help reduce the warming of the city itself, the greenhouse effect, and the overheating of the asphalt itself.
So I'm all for green islands around the city wherever the situation and possibilities allow.
And I would also like to commend the city green space workers who work hard to maintain and water the plants on the green island.

And let's go back to the backyard.
For a break I like to have a coffee in peace, and since I love nature, the view of the neighbor's garden delights me.
It's full of flowers in pots a refreshing view and often an enchanting scent of flowers..

Oh yes, I asked permission to take pictures of flowers
And I also took pictures of the wire that I'm surrounded by, because it feels like I'm in a cage and nature is out there somewhere :)

Thanks for reading.
Until next time.
Stay healthy.

I like how you appreciate nature around you, even with the loss of the trees. Your love for greenery leaves and flowers is inspiring. 🌿

Thank you

Sometimes there are a bit difficult neighbors. I honestly do not like neighbors who ask to cut the plants, because they are usually fussy and make you have to cut a tree completely.

How nice you have a break with a garden view. I think a lot of cities are looking at the importance of green spaces - the sooner the better! Especially with Europe's current heat waves as well..

Yes, and more trees

You have a bad neighborhood, instead of inviting hardworking people to lunch, they steal their shade.
