Good afternoon, dear friends.
I love my dacha, I love working there. Even though it is not watered, after the rain, everything becomes fresh and juicy. Now, when summer is gaining momentum, there are many flowers at the dacha. The most beautiful ones now are irises.
I have six types of irises. There are tall blue and purple ones, like a stormy sky. Next to them are delicate white ones, and they are also yellow irises, as if someone painted them yellow. I can look at them for a long time, enjoying their aroma. I especially like the yellow ones. I constantly admire them and wait for new buds to bloom.
There are also irises that you dug up in the steppe. They grew in the steppe and were magnificent, and when we brought them and planted them at our dacha, they stopped blooming. Only for three years now, when the unbearable heat outside, they bloom. Perhaps they needed a dry climate, like in the steppe. We didn't take this into account when we took them to the dacha. Now they have grown, and I made two bushes out of them. Now, two lush bushes decorate my dacha.
I, too, am fond of iris. Many years ago, a former neighbor shared many rhizomes with me when she separated her perennials. She had nearly every color of iris imaginable, and I ended up with quite a few different colors, too. But, as I got older, I had too many flower beds to keep up with, so I gave away nearly all my iris. I kept a few of my two favorite colors. One is a very short iris that is the color of root beer and also smells like root beer. The other one is purple and white, It hasn't bloomed since I moved it to a different location in the yard, so I might have to move it again. Thanks for sharing the lovely photos.
Yes. Iris is a beautiful flower. We want to plant them along the fence. We want to make a fence out of these flowers. I think it will look good.
