Growing Indian Squash (Tinda)

in HiveGarden3 days ago

Namaste to all gardeners and plant lovers!

You must remember these sprouts of my Tinda seeds. I don't remember exactly, but perhaps a month and a half ago, I took the seeds from fresh tindas and sowed them and shared their growth with you after their germination. The image shown above is from the same blog in which you can also see the seed shell on the corner of the seed leaves.

Although after that, due to the intense heat, these plants were growing very slowly, but then in the last few weeks, due to rain with storm 3-4 times, these plants got a different energy and they started growing rapidly.

After which the process of flowering started on them very soon. Although according to me this vegetable grows on a vine and before flowering its vine needs to grow up to a few meters, but these plants had grown only a few feet and flowers started blooming on them.

And I did not pluck them because according to the growing season of this vegetable, I had already planted them 1 month late, so I did not want to hinder their growth. It is possible that due to this I may not get good fruiting but if I was able to grow this vegetable successfully this season, it would have been a new achievement for me because I was growing this vegetable for the first time. :)

Well, finally just a few days ago I saw these tiny fruits on these plants and like every time, I was overjoyed! :D

There is really no comparison to this feeling because here you have contributed something to nature. When you grow something yourself, you feel proud of yourself!

I sowed a total of 3 seeds, all three of which germinated and are growing healthy till now. I have tied the plants with a coconut fibre rope so that if the vine wants to grow, its fibres get the support of the rope. and btw, after the rain two days ago, the vine has also grown a bit longer.

And these fruits are also growing rapidly and right now when I am writing this blog, there are more than a dozen fruits on these vines and many new buds are also blooming. I frankly do not know anything about this vegetable except that my wife makes it very tasty. 😋

So right now I don't know how much more time it will take for them to fully ripen, but hopefully in the next 2 to 3 weeks they will become big enough for plucking, and then once again I will show you their growth and beautiful pictures in another blog.

I hope you enjoyed my Gardening and Phone Photography! :)

Can you see the writing under every photo?
Because I don't see anything written in this blog other than the photos, although I wrote a lot about it. 😶

Yes I can, but I think you put the text under the caption part of every image in the new editor mode, so the text appear smaller than the usual text size.

This text is not visible in the app. I did not know how the caption feature works. Now I feel I made a mistake because those using the app will not be able to see the blog with text.

I think they show it differently from the app and also from the web version.
