Hello hivemates!
How have you been?
I hope that all is well despite the inclement weather in the Philippines.
Today, I want to tell you about my Sunday with my family.

I wasn’t expecting that our day would go well yesterday.
On Saturday, our family was talking about our contingency plan in case the super typhoon hit our area earlier than expected.
We planned to stay at home on a Sunday and have our online Sunday service instead of going to church face-to-face.
It wasn’t our usual routine since we normally attend service in person.
If you were to ask me, I prefer to attend our Sunday service personally, yet if the weather is not favorable, we have no control over it.
Yet, everything seemed to fall into place.
Upon waking up on a Sunday morning, the weather was still good. So we decided to start our usual routine.
I have to say that it went well.

Before our Sunday service, we stopped by Mr Donut (a famous donut chain in the Philippines) to buy our hot chocolate and coffee to warm our nerves. We didn’t order anything too fancy, just the hot drinks can keep us going.

As always, we got to meet our church family and had a quick catch-up after the service. We uttered our hi and hello and bid goodbye.

We then treated ourselves to a simple lunch at McDonald's. It may not be that glamorous, yet we enjoyed the usual chicken fillet and French fries.

What made it so special is the smile of my youngest daughter while attempting to grab a piece of French fries. And smiled after her first bite.

We enjoyed it so much while talking about anything that happened last week. My husband would usually make his funny and silly jokes and we would laugh at them together.

And of course, we would normally do our usual walk with the baby in the stroller. We would look at some boutiques that we like such as shoe shops, Miniso, etc. These small moments of talking and teasing, sharing stories are the ones I treasured most.
We also were able to get some groceries. We had our list of things to buy especially that we wanted to be prepared for typhoon Uwan. It was very vital to stock essentials too.
Despite the urgency, we were able to do it by helping each other. It was like an adventure for the family since we made it very efficient. One is taking care of the baby, the other one is getting the toiletries and one is getting the other stuff. It turned out to be like a mini adventure.

And we’re all happy and satisfied that we have what we needed at least for a couple of days.
Finally, we went home and arrived safely. It was a relief that we arrived home without getting too wet since we really prepared and brought big umbrellas.
We unpacked our groceries and put everything into its place.
We also charged our cellphones and our portable fans.
Before the lights turned off, we uttered our prayers and thanked God for the safety.
Wow what a spentwell Sunday with you and your family. It's good to hear that you were able to attend mass personally before the typhoon landed. Here on our place we didn't even go to church because on Saturday evening we already feel the typhoon, a non stop rain and wind. You did a good job as a mom you make sure everything is prepared before typhoon comes. By the way your baby is so cute and adorable.
@segundolhou29 Super thankful that the super typhoon didn't hit our place so hard! We had fears and worries but the most that we can do as a family is to really hope and have faith that despite the calamities around, we have each other. Hope your place is recovering from the typhoon.
I’m glad the weather turned out fine and you were still able to enjoy your usual routine. Sometimes, the simplest things like hot chocolate, coffee and time with family make the day extra special.
Yeah! Im learning to really enjoy the simple things just like you do ☺ @dreamrona
What a lovely Sunday you had with you family. Everyone had fun that's for sure. Even the simple grocery shopping is fun too right. The kids looks satisfied with their Sunday too.
@ruffatotmeee Yes!!! It's a normal day with extra ordinary people. Salamat sis.
It is wise to discuss contingency plans as a family for calamities or disasters great idea that is lifesaving 72 hours kit emergency bag that now includes lifejacket or lifebuoy in case of storm surge or flashflood
@glowinthelight this is true, we have to overprepare than to regret, right?
