Hello, dear Black and White community!
This time I find myself in the province of Anta, district of Mollepata, 120 kilometers from the city of Cusco, at the foot of the Humantay glacier, one of the towering snow-covered peaks that surround this beautiful city.
Life is tough around here. Everything is done walking. Even though the glaciers seem close, the sun burns the skin hard due to the altitude. You have to be very protected. You sweat cold.
I’ve always admired the Mamichas and Papichos. Since a young age, they walk from town to town wearing their traditional clothes, herding sheep, carrying their belongings. They are strong, both men and women, chewing coca leaves, a custom from Inca times that gives them strength, that gives them power.
Here I leave you with these five photos that joined me in this walk through the Andes. I hope they help you connect a bit more with the Andean walkers.

Hola querida comunidad en Blanco y Negro
Esta vez me encuentro en la originaria de Anta, distrito de Mollepata a 120 kilómetros de la ciudad de Cusco, a los pies el nevado Humantay uno de los imponentes nevados que rodean la hermosa ciudad de Cusco.
La vida es dura por acá, todo se hace caminando. Aunque se ven los nevados cerca, tener el sol tan cerca por la altura hace que queme la piel. Hay que estar muy protegido. Se suda frío.
Siempre admiré a las Mamichas y Papichos. Desde corta edad caminan de un pueblo a otro, con sus trajes típicos, pastoreando ovejas, cargando sus pertenencias. Son fuertes, hombres y mujeres por igual, chachando la hoja de coca, costumbre que tienen desde las épocas de los incas, les da el poder.
Acá les dejo estas 5 fotografías que me acompañaron en esta caminata por este pueblo. Espero los conecte un poco más con los caminantes andinos.

Wow que maravilla de fotografías mi amigo, ese lugar me encanta, esos paisajes con las montañas de fondo son de mis fotos preferidas. La primera es lo mejor que he visto por aquí hoy, te felicito.
Gracias mi amigo, por acá tenemos unos paisajes increíbles,rodeado montañas o apus como les decimos, solo es disparar para congelar momentos, me alegra mucho que te haya gustado mi trabajo.
