“Windows of the Past: A Black & White Glimpse from Machu Picchu, Cusco”

(ENG) Hello Hive photography community.
Today I want to share a series of photographs taken in the Peruvian Andes, specifically at the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, in the district of Urubamba precisely in Aguas Calientes, Cusco where Inca constructions are like a journey into the past of Inca culture.

These images, presented in black and white, aim to highlight the strength of silence, the weight of time, and the harmony of the stone shapes. Inca windows and the structure of their architecture have always caught my attention; in fact, seeing how stone fits perfectly over stone is something I’ll never understand how they managed to achieve.

While taking this series of photographs, I felt connected with the energy of the stones and the Inca culture. The light, the shadows, and the textures helped me build a visual message that attempts to convey history, mystery, and contemplation.
